January 3rd, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Sales.
ROLL CALL:
Councilmen present: Inger,son, Jessen, Riewerts., Jan Bebber and
Mayor Sales.
Absent: Councilmen Farrell and Glahn..
READING OF THE JOURNAL:
The minutes of the last regular meeting of December 20th and the
adjourned meeting of December 27th were read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIALS:
The montFily .reports of the Auditor and Treasurer, City k
Police Judge and Poundman were read and filed.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMIT
- The Finance Committee rendered its report of numerous claims
against the City, whereupon
Resolution t #3391 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded -by Councilman Riewerts,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds
in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted
by 5 affirmative votes; 2 absentees.

Communication from the Board of Fine Commissioners, in the
matter of the extension{ of the fire limits along Washington Street, read
and f i l :e d
Petition from W. B. Cader for permission to connect with the
main sewer on Main*Street a.t the north city limits, read and filed. Later
brought up under the head of New Business and referred to the Street
Committee and Street Superintendent to investigate and report back at. the
next regular.meeting.

Resolution t#3392 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Je.ssen., seconded by Councilman Van Bebber,
transferring the sum of 2000.00 from the General Fund to the Music Fund,
adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees.
Resolution /x'3393 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Ingerson,
appointing C. R. Winfield a member of the Music Commission, adopted by 5
affirmative votes, 2 absentees.
Attorney Howell presented a deed of conveyance from William
and Jessie Sylva to the City of Petaluma:, whereupon

ing said deed and directing the,City Clerk to have same recorded, adopted
by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees, and

ing Tyr. and Mrs. 'Si.lva for their generous gift, adopted by 5 affirmative

�o_ A ought up the matter of opening 5th Street from
J 'to Mt. Viet!. After a lengthy discussion it was referred to the Street
Committee for investigation and report back.
The matter of opening seokuk Street was also discussed and the
comrriittee agreed 'to investigate and report on same as soon as possible.
It was agreed that the Council and Fire board would meet
together and discuss the extending of the City Fire Limits.
. The matter of a sidewalk in front of the Edward's property on.
I street was- referred to the 'Street Committee.
