ROLL CALL: Councilmen present: Farrell, Glahn, In.gerson, Riewerts, Jessen, Van Bebber and Mayor Sales. READING OF THE JOURNAL: e m.-nu es o the last regular meeting of February 21st and the Special Meeting of February 28th were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF CITY OFFLCIALS: The monthly reports of the Wharfinger, Police Judge,, Auditor and Treasurer were read and filed. The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavit of Publication of Ordinance No., 308 C.S. The Auditor reported the apportionment of all the funds in the Unapportioned Fund to the various funds entitled thereto. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMI,TTEES: The Finance Committee its report of .numerous claims against the City, whereupon Resolution #3413 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, directing the Auditor to draw warrantst against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee.,.and directing the transfer of $37.19 from the Municipal.Fire Impv. Bond Fund to the Fire Fund, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. In the matter of the improvement of Mt. View Avenue, the Street Committee reported progress and were granted further time. The Street Committee reported that -Mr. Clark, property ownerx on Washington ,& Liberty Streets', had agreed to replace the curbin.g.at said - location'but objected to the-people parking along the entire frontage of the service station. The matter was left to the Street Committee. PETITI AND COMMUNICATIONS: Communicat on room - The Board of Fire Underwriters sending reports and maps of the City of Petaluma, read and filed. Communication from the Superintendent of Rodent Control, enclosing report on the rat situation in Petaluma, read and filed.. -The Associated Oil Company filed a bid for the furnishing of gasoline to the City of Petaluma. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance No. 308 C.S, introduced by Councilman Ingerson, second- ed by Councilman.Riewerts, establishing the grade of Bridge Street, adopt- ed. by 7 affirmative votes, NEW BUSINESS: Madfson and Vallejo Streets; The filing of plans and specifications on Madison and.Vallejo Streets was continued until the next regular meeting in order that the City Engineer might bring in estimates for a storm sewer on Edith Street and that the status of Edith Street might be established. The report of the rodent control expert was discussed and on motion by Councilman Jensen, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, the Council agreed to co- operate in every possiblelway toward the extermination of rats. In this respect it was the consensus of opinion that Mr-. Burton'be appoint0 ed to supervise the handling and distribution of the rat poison. The City Attorney reported that Mr. Leo Bourke had requested.the improvement of "G" Street, between 6th and 8th Streets. Referred. to the City Engineer and'Street Committee to bring in recommendations. 1 .A request for permission to-put in a driveway at 154 Main Street, which is in the heart of the business district, was referred to the Street Committee and Street Superintendent for investigation and report back. l'Q1��D x"'15 It was reported that Mr. Maclay and Mr,. Vonsen., property owners on D Street, were desirous of having said street; permanently paved at the time•the other paving project is undertaken.'
