NEW BUSINESS:
s roadster
This being the time set for opening bids for the f purchase' of a
"roadster for the Superintendent o S'treets, Clerk reported having
received two bids and proceeded to open and read said bids, one from the,
Murphy Chevrolet Co. ® and the other from the Sandeds -on Motor Co., whereupon
Resolution #3442 C..S.
Introduced by Councilman Glahn, seconded by Councilman.Jessen, accepting
- the bi,d of the Murphy Chevrolet Company, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
City Attorney Howell brought up the matter of passing an ordinance
which would control radio interference, . He was directed to write to
Secretary Locke'of the League of 'California 1unicipalities to ascertain
what other cities are passing similar ordinances.,
Councilm Farrell and Van Bebber were appointed a committee to learn
What licenses other cities are requiring of circuses.

.Councilman Jes,sen brought up the matter of the need of filing
cabinets inets for the health department.. Referred to.th,e Buildings and
Grounds Committee with power to act.
The matter of grading Hayes Avenue, so as to eliminate aome of
the roughness Was refery•ed to the Street Committee with 'Power to, 'act.
