JOURNAL: The m nu :es of the last regular meeting of May 16th, the adjourned . meeting of May '19th and the 'Special meeting of June 4th were read and : approve as recorded. REPORTS OF CITY OFFT_CI_ ALS,: Th mon y reports of the Police Judge, Poundman.. City Wharfinger, Auditor and Treasurer were read and filed. 'The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavits of Publication re Ordinance of `Intention No. 1 and Notice of Public Work 5th Street; also Affidavit of .Posting of Ordinance. No. 31 7 C.S. Attorney Meyer addressed the Council, asking that the Council install ,5 electroliera, one on each side of the Plaza at Liberty and Bassett Streets,,, in order to better light said section.. Referred to the Street Committee and Electrolier Committee for invasti,gation. and report at the next regular meeting. 9th St. Imp.v: The City Engineer filed plans and speci.fic,ations for the improvement of 9th Street, between F and G Streets, whereupon Resolution #:345,5 C.S. introduced by Councilman Riewert's, seconded by Councilman lhgersibn, approving and adopting said plans adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Councilman Jessen sugges`t'ed that Bodega Avenue and.'rospect Street bo made arterials in order to eliminate some of the dangerous crossings. Referred to the Street Committee and Chief of Police for investigation and recommendation.. Attorney Howell brought up the mutter of widening and - improving Spring Street. No action taken. Mt.View Sewer Res olution. #3456 C.S introduced by Councilman Farrell.,, seconded_by Councilman Jessen, rescind- ng Resolution No. 34.36 C.S. adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Street paving - District No. 1 This being the time set for hearing protests in the matter"of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1 the Clerk reported that no protests had been filed. Engineer of Work, J. B.. Piatt, was sworn in land testified under oath as 'to the grades set forth and shown on the, plans and specifications and also as to the fact that the real property in the entire City would be benefitted, by the improvement, whereupon Resolution Ordering he mor -k g #3457 C,.-S. introduced by Councilman Glahn, seconded by Councilman Jessen, ordering the work done and fixing June 20th.as the time for receiving bids for said work, adopted by 7 af.fi'rmative .votes.' "D" Street, Improvement.: The matter of improving "D" Street was discussed and Resolution #34563' C.S. introduced by Councilman Farrell,. seconded by Councilman Van B'ebber, directing the preparation of spe "cfications. for said improvement, under acquisition and improvement district No. 2 of the City of Petaluma, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Mt.-View Sewer Resolution #3459 C.S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded'by Councilman Glahn,, directing the preparation of ,specifications for acquisition and. improvement district No. 3 for the construction of a sanitary sewer on. Mt,. View Avenue, adopted by 7 affirmative votes, whereupon the City Engineer filed such plans and specifications for said work, and Resolution # 3460 C'.S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded'by Councilman, Van,Bebber, approving said specifications, adopted' by rl affirmative votes. Keokuk drain: 1 �1 . The City Engineer was directed to file plans and specif �6ations for a culvert and the draining of a depression_ on Keokuk Street, with the view of filling in this spot with the dirt.removed from the streets to be improved.
