READING OF THE JOURNAL: e minutes 6f-the last regular meeting of June 20th, the Special Meeting of June 29th and the adjourned meeting of June 3`Oth were re and approved as recorded. Res olution #3480 C ..S . .introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Councilman Glahn, approving the official bonds 'of City Officers and directing the Clerk to record the same, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. Regular meeting of the C'ounc.l. of the City of Petaluma called to order by Mayor Sales. ROLL CALL: Councilmen present: Farrell, Glahn, Ingerson, Jensen, Riewerts, Van Bebber and Mayor Sales. REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIA The monthly reports of the Poundman, City Wbarf nger, Auditor and Treasurer, were read and filed. The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavits of Publication of Ordinances No. 316 C.S, and 317 C.S., also the filing of Affidavit of Posting of Ordinance No. 315 C.;S. The Annual report of the Library Board.was read and filed. The City Engineer submitted plans, specifications, profile and estimate for the construction of a 6" sewer on Olive Street. Filed. ADO PTION OF ORDINANCES: rdinance o. 315 C.S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, second- ed by Councilman.Van Bebber, dirrecting that an action be brought by th City Attorney in the Superior Court for the.condemnation of property,. necessary for the opening of 5th Street came up regularly and was adopt ed by 7'affirma.tive votes. Ordinance No. 316 C,..S. was brought up and laid on the table for further consideration. . Ordinance No. 317 C.S. introduced by Councilman Glahn, seconded by Councilman Farrell, regulating the opening of public streets, lanes, alleys, courts, etc. in.the City of Petaluma., came up regularly and was adopted by 7'affirmative votes. I NEW BUSINESS Hydrants. b Councilman Van Bebber, reported the urgent need of new hydrants for installation along the line of the propos.ed.street improvement and on motion by Councilman Farrell,, seconded by Councilman Jessen, the Board" of Fire Gdmmi.ssion was authorized to purchase five hydrants to be paid for from,the General Fund. Resolution x``3.48'1 C.S. introduced by Councilman RiewerIts, seconded Councilman Ingerson, fix- ing the compensation of L. Lauritzen, for the repair of the town clock, at the sum of $10.00 per month, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Board of Health.:: Resolution #3482 C.S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, appoint - ing H. S. Rodgers, G. R. Hubbell and J. E. Tierne`y,members of the Board of Health, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. The matter of collecting the refuse from street receptacles was discussed and referred to-the Street Committee with pourer to act. Vice. - President: On motion by Councilman Rewerts, seconded by Councilman Glahn., Councilman Farrell was appointed Vice President of .the City Council. Mt.View Sewer- Dist. No. 3 The.Cty Attorney reported receipt of permit No. 45453 from the California Highway Commission., whereupon Resolution #3483 C.S. introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Van 'BebIber, amending and modifying the original °plans and specifications and adopting gdditional specifications, was adopted by 7 affirmative,votes, and Resolution #3484 C.S. introduced by Councilman Jensen, seconded by Counclman.Glahn, being Resolution of Intention in the matter of Acquisition and Impv..D"ist.No. 3- Mt.View Sewer_, was adopted by 7 affirmative votes. _A 'fin motion r gularly made and carried the meeting add urne .
