STANDING .COMMITTEES : e, inance Committ reported on the financial conditions of the Rock Crusher, and .after considerable di:scus.si6n on motion by Councilman Van Bebber,, seconded by 'Councilman. Farr ell., the Finance Committee was empowered to shut down the Rock Crusher pending an immediate investigation as to the quality and quantity of rock heft in the quarry. The 'Finance. Committee' rendered its report of numerous claims against the City, whereupon Resolution #3485 C. S. introduced by,Gouncilman Van Bebbe'r, �aeconded by Councilman Glahn, directing the "Auditor to drag warrants against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the.Finance Committee:, adopted by 6 affirmativ voters,. 1 absentee. On motion regularly made and - carried the Poundman was auth- or zed to purchase new tires for the pound automobile. Mayor Sales reported the proceedings for the Mt.View Sewer District irregular and it Was the sense 'of the, Council that a new start be made on 'the work at the next meeting of the 'Council. The Chief of - Police reported having investi- gated, with the Street Commit°tee,, the advisability of making certain-: streeFt.s arterials and .r'ecommended" that the folloWing streets- be so desTgnated.:5' Baker Street at Bodega Avenue, tlashington Street at Keokuk,, Washington Street; at Liberty Washington at Kel -ler, Trospect - at Howard,, E Prospect at Bodega Avenue ! Prospec.t - at Walnut.. The Council accepted the report and ordered an ordinance drawn provid ing for said arterials.
