Adjourned meeting of the 'Cou.hcil of the City of Petaluma celled
to order by Mayor Sales.

councilmen present: Farrell., Glahn, Ingerson, Jesaen, Rie.werts,
Van Bebber .and Mayor Sales.
PETITIONS AND C'OMMUNICATIONS':
Petition signed b. - y - 23 property owners in the vicinity of
Western Avenue and -Baker Street, protesting against the erection of
rabbit hutches on property now owned by Mr. Haley, read, filed and
referred to the City Attorney.
Communication from James Sturla regarding the hauling of
garbage from.the. City of Petaluma,, read and filed.
INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES:
Ordinance No,. 31 C.S. introduced by Councilman. Van Be.bber, see -
onded by Councilman Jes.sen, appropriating and setting aside the surn
of $1200.00 to damages and compensation to property owners on
5th Street:, caused by the extension of said street, was read., approved
by the. City Attorne ;.Nr and ordered posted.
NEW BU SINESS
— Dlstri No. 4.- 9th and H'Streets:
Resolution X3503 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman Ingerson,
directing the preparation of specifications for the extension of Ninth
Street. and H Street, adopted by 7 affirmative votes..
Acquisition & Impv. Dist.No. 2 - Opening bids.
This b -eing the time set for opening bids for Acquisition
and Improvement District No. 2-the Clerk reported having received, 'four
bids from J. V. Galbraith, C. W. good, McDonald and Maggior!a and.
Smith and Sylva and proceeded 'to open and read said bide, whereupon
Res.oluti on of Award #3504 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Councilman, Ingei son,,
awarding the contract for said work to J. V. Galbraith, he being the
lowest responsible bidder, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
