October 17th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Council of -the City, of Petaluma called to
order by Mayor Sales.
ROLL CALL:
Coune°imen,present: Farrell, Ingerson, - Jessen., Riewerts.," Van
Bebber and Mayor Sales.
Absent: Councilman Glahn.'
READING OF THE JOURNAL:
The. minutes o t e last regular meeting of October 3rd were read
and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIALS:

against the City, whereupon

introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Jessen,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds
in payment of claims allowed . and approved by the Finance Cozmmlittee,
adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
Lighting Park `in - front of Catholic Church
The Street Lighting Committee submitted plans and specifications
for the lighting of the City Park facing Howard, Bassett and Liberty
Streets, whereupon

resolving that the City Rock Crusher be discontinued, adopted by 4
aff.irmati:ve votes, 2 negative votes, 1 absentee.
INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES:

seconded by Councilman Jes providing for the sale of the Municipal
Rock Crusher was read,, approved by the City Attorney, and- ordered posted.,
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES:
Ordinance No. 320 C.S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded
by Councilman Glahn:, establishing the grade of Keokuk Street, came up
regularly and was adopted'by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
NEW BUSINESS:

introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Councilman Ingers.on,-
empowering the Board of Health to employ an experienced rat exterminator
for a period 3 months, adapted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.

extending the sympathy of the City Council to Councilman. Glahn, in the

Resolution /3529 ' C.S.
introduced -by Councilman Farrell; seconded by-Councilman Van Bebber,
granting the Pacific Gas .& Electric Company a right of way through City
property, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
On motion by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Riewerts,
permission was granted to the Lions Club to place emblems at the entrance
to the City, said, emblems to be placed, under the supervision of the
Chief of Police.
