READING OF THE JOURNAL: e.m nutes of the last regular meeting of November 7th were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF CITY OFFIC=IALS': r he Clerk repot e the filing of Affidavits of' Publication of Notice of Auction Sale ,and Notice of Filing of Assessment for the Extension.of 5th Street. REPORTS., OF STANDIN COklIT_TEES: -Th Finance .Committee rendered t :s.report of numerous claims against the' City, � whereupon Resolution #3539 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, second by Councilman Jessen, directing the Auditor to draw warrants .on the various, City Funds in, payment, of claims allowed and approved by the Finance. Committee, adopted by 7' affirmative votes., INTRODUCTION. OF. ORDINANCES: . Ordinance 'No. ;525 U .S.. introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Councilman Ingers.on, establishing the grade of the alley within the block bounded by Kentucky and Keller Streets, I'lestern Avenue and Washington Street, was read, approved by the City Attorney and ordered. posted. NEW "BU_SINESS: The committee was granted further time in which to report on the opening.of "L" Street. The City Engineer submitted a.map of Tunzi Parkway Subdivision, whereupon Resolution #3540 C.S,. introduced, by. C'ouftcilman Jessen,, seconded. by Councilman Glahn, approving said map, adopted by 7 .aff rmative vo.tes.. On motion by Gounci„lmah Glahn, seconded by Councilman Van - Bebber a vote of thanks was given the Chamber of" Commerce for the beautifully' decorated automobil,e which. the City Council rode on Armistice Day. The matter of removing some of the; hitching rails on MAj?y Street 'was referred to the Chief of Police with power to act. The matter' of cons truct°ng.sidewalks,on said street was left:to the Street Committee f'or investigation- and report at. the next..regular meeting. Gouncilman Jessen spoke, of moving the statue of Hebe placed in front of the new Bank of Italy side to one of the parks and the " - was left to the Park Commission and the. Street. Superintendent` t`o decide on a proper location. Chief Flohr reported hs. attendance at the Peace Officers Convention held at Sacramento and reported a very fine meeting.
