REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIALS;: The monthly reports of the Auditor and Treasurer,, Police Judge and City Wharfinger. were read'and filed.. The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavit of Publication of Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals, Mt. View Sewer Dist. also the filing of Affidavits of Posting of Ordinances, No. 326. and. 327 . C,. S. The Engineer filed plans and - specifications for the construction of a 12" sewer for the continuation of the Mt,. View Avenue sewer, where- upon Resolution #3551 C.S., Continuation Mt. View,Sewer: introduced by 'Councilman lman Farrell:, seconded.by Councilman Jessen, approv- ing and-accepting said plans and directing the Clerk to advertise. for bids for furnishing labor and material necessary for the construction of said sewer, adopted by 7 affirmative.votes, :. REPORTS OF STANDING C01MMITTEES: The inance' omm es ren ered its report of numerous claims against the 'City, whereupon Resolution #3552 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Jessen, directing the Auditor to draw warrants on the various City Funds in payment of claim s allowed and approved by the - Finance Committee, adopted ._ by 7 affirmative votes. Ap;pli ° frrom Nye & Ni,sson for a permit to erect a garage in the rear of their property on Washington Street, read, filed and Resolution #3'554 C,.S. introduced L by Councilman Ingers.on, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, granting said application, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance No. :3.26 C.S. introduced by Councilman Glahn,, seconded by Counci;lman•Riewerts, appropriating $1000.00 to pay the -cost and expense of 12" sewer from Mt. V.:iew Avenue to Petaluma Creek., came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes, Ordinance No. ;527 C.S. introduced b.y Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, amending Section 42 of Ordinance No: 239 C.S: by adding to said section the work "Phrenologist,", came up regularly and was, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. NEW BUSI Music Commission: Resolution #3555 C -.S. introduced by Councilman Glahn,, seconded by Councilman Farrell., re- appoint-ing E. A -. Keller and Mc.. Goldman members of the Music., .Commission, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Mr. J. A. Kenney addressed the Council and offered a'right of way through his pro ' pert:y for a pipe line to the river in order to provide better fire protection for lower Third St -reet. B. • Silva,.. W.. J...T.obin, J. M9 Heafey, J. J. Ongers Jr., Geo, C. De Golia, J. V,: Galbrai'th,, , Fred Meyers and Hanhrahan Co. The bids were taken under advisement_until.the next meeting .of the Council. Widening Street in front of High School: Councilman Ingerson. reported that the Board of Educat1on desirous of widening the street in front of the High School and has asked the City . to-take care of setting back the' curb 'and repa the street, ' the Board of ,Education to pur chase the necess�ar.-y land. The matter y 'was referred to the Street Committee to investigate and bring in recommendations. Councilman Jessen called the attention of the Council which has been temporarily erected by the Bank of Italy Washington and Main Street;s., stating that it is'a danger. now stands.
