Regular meeting of the Council of the City onf.Petaluma called
to'order by Mayor Sales.

READING OF THE JOURNAL:

and City Wharfnger were read and filed..
The City filed plans, specifications, and estimate for
the grading of�Keokuk.St. extension, whereupon

This being''the time set for hearing on the Olive St. assessment

confirming proceedings and ordering warrant; adopted by 6 affirmative
votes, 1 absentee.
Fifth St: Impv.
This being= time set for opening bids for the improvement
of Fifth Street, the Clerk-reported having received five bids and
proceeded to open and read said bids, whereupon

introduced by Councilman Jesse n, seconded by Councilman Van.Bebber,
awarding the contract to 'Sylva & Ellis,, they being the lowest responsible
bidder, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, l absentee.
The mat of re- routing the fire alarm system was brought up
by Councilman Van Bebber and on motion by Councilman Je:ssen, seconded by

Councilman Farrell.the-Ci.ty'Engineer, City Attorney and City Electrician
were dire to prepare, plans.and.zpecifidations for said-work.
Mr. Button addressed the Council asking that some relief be .given
them in the matter of parking their.taxi cabs., stating that both he and Mr..
Marion would be satisfied with two parking. spaces in front of their
respective places of 'business. Referred .to. 'the Street. Gommitte,e and
Chief of Police for investigation and recommendation.
The matter of moving a pole in the alley between Prospect and
Wa:shingt0' Street was,referred to the Street Committee with power to
act.

The matter of financing the purchase,. of a..stre;et sweeper was referred
to the Finance - Committee for report...
