Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called to
order by Mayor Sales.

City Clerk were-delegated to represent the-City at said convention, their
expenses to be paid.by the City.of Petaluma.
The City °- Attorney•submitted a written opinion of the validity
of an amendment to the traffic ordinance regard to taxi-cab stands
and.on motion by +Councilman.Farrell., seconded by Councilman Van- Bebber,
the City Attorney was instructed t.o draw up an ordinance setting aside
the necessary spaces -for taxi- cabs.

Garbage Reduction Plant:
The Mayor reported that he had been informed that the,garbage
reduction plant expected to be operating by the 'middle of October of
this year. The City Attorney and a Special Committee consisting of

Councilmen. Jess:en -.and.. Riewerts were directed to prepare ordinances
regarding the separation and ..c.ollec:tion of garbage:.

introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber,
directing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for a motor- driven
pick -up sweeper to be paid cash 90 days after date, adopted by
6- affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
The matter of the Olive Street sewer was: again discussed-and the
Mayor offered to take the matter up with the legal representative of the
estate.
