ROLL CALL: ouncilmen,present: Farrell, Ingerson, Jessen, Pendleton, Riewerts, Van Bebber and Mayor Sales. READING OF THE JOURNAL: Th minutes o' the last regular meeting of December 3'rd:and the special meeting of December 15th were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF CITY. 'OFFICI °ALS: e Au_ tor a report of the apportionment of money in the unapportioned fund. Filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES: The Fi nance- ComrUttee submitted its report of numerous claims, whereupon Resolution #378'5 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Pendleton, directing the Auditor to draw warrants on the various funds in payment of• claims allowed-and-approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes PETITION$ AND COWIUNICATIONS: ApTli6ation'or F. F. Joseph for :permission to install thr gasoline curb pumps,'read, filed and laid. on the table. Petition from property owners for a light on Baker.Street, read,, filed and referred to the Street Committee, who reported that said light had already been ordered and was probably in, Communication. from the Pacific Coast Association of Fire Chiefs commending "Chief - ,'Adams for his good work, read and filed. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance-'N C.S. introduced by Councilman Ingerson, seconded by Co=cilman- Riewerts., authorizing parking ' - 'in ,any loading zone between the hours of 6 P.M. and 6 A.M. cane up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes. NEW BUSINEaS+;; .e. •-- The Italo .Petroleum Corporation made verbal request for Permission to change -the curb in front- of their service station, whereupon = Resolution '#3786 - C'. S. introduced by CoUn6flrian Pendleton, seconded by Councilman Jessen, granting said application and providing that said work be done under the direction`• of• the City Engineer and to the satisfaction of the Street Commi "ttee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. The request for a street light at Central, West and Howard Streets was referred to the Street Committee with power to act. The City ttorney reported regarding the enforcement of the garbage ordinances-°th:at,an injunction suit had been filed in Santa Rosa and a temporary restraining order.served on B. P. George, Mr. Jensen, P.ggly Wig gly' and Skaggs Store, restraining said parties from delivering their garbage to any person other than the City Garbage Collector.. Re,s oluti on #3737 0.8. introduced by C� ouncilinan Riewerts, seconded by Councilman Ingerson., authorizing the S.treet•Superintendent to use and employ the City street equipment.for the benefit of property owners at the same rates or charges therefor -- a§ are collected from the utility corporations, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
