READING OF THE JOURNAL: The Ernutea of the last regular me.eting'of February 4th and the Special meeting of February 7th were read -and approved as recorded. REPORTS' OF CITY OFFICIALS: The C ty Engipeer filed plans and s.p'eeificatons for the installation of the fire alarm .:s, ..ystem..in_the:._business. section, whereupon Resolution #3805 C.S. introduced by Coundilman 1, seconded by Councilman .Riewerts, accepting and, .adopting said plans and. specifications, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees, and Resolution. #3BO6 C.S. introduced by CouncilmanFarrel-1, seconded by Councilman Ingerson,.directi.'ng the City Clerk to advertise fpr bids for the; re- ins'ta.11ation- of the fire alarm system, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees. Ordinance No,. 351 C,,.,S. introduced by Gouncilman Pendleton, seconded by 'Councilman Riewerts.. regulating traffic upon that certain alley between. Main Street and Water Street at the westerly terminus of Western Avenue.. And providing penalties for the violation of the ordinance, was read, approved -by •the City Attorney and ordered posted. NEW BUSINESS Re s;oluti on #3.80'9 C.S. introduced by Gouncilman_ Farrell, seconded by Councilman Riewerts,. granting Sylva and Ellis 90 days additional time for the ;completion of .their contract on %ifth Street extens om, adopted by 5 affirmative votes. 2 absentees. This being the time for opening bids for the electrical equipment of Washington Street bridge the Clerk reported having received two bids . and. proceeded to open and read said bids, one-from, the Butte Electric and Mfg. Co. for $1794.00 and the other from Herman Weber for $879.50. On. ot,on by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, the bids rri were taken under advisement until the next meeting of the Council. Keokuk St. Impv. This being the time set for hearing pro =tests against, the improvement of Keokuk Street;,: the Clerk reported that a written protest was on fi.le,, which protest was read and considered and Resolution #3.810 C.,S.. introduced by Councilman Pendleton, seconded by Councilman .ingerson,. sustaining said protest and rescinding, vacating and setting aside resolution of intention #3798 C.S., adopted by 5 affirmative. votes, 2 absentees. The matter of a b:ill of the CaliTorni a Water Service Co.. , -which appeared to be out of order was referred to the City' for .investigati -on and report. Mr. Wm.
