ROLL CALL C`ounc.ilmen present: Farrell, Ingerson,.Jessen, Pendleton, Rewerts, "Van Beb.ber and Mayor Sales. READING OF THE JOURNAL The minute's of the last regular meeting of March 18th and the special meeting of March °23rd were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF• CITY OFFICIALS-: e mon y reports of the Auditor and Treasurer, Wharf.inger, Poundman and Police Judge were read and filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES: _e F inance Commit submitted its report., whereupon Resolution #3824 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by 'Councilman Pendleton, directing the Auditor to draw warrants, on the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the.Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. The Finance Committee submitted a written report and recommend- ations regarding the surplus of money in the Milk Fund and the City Attorney was directed to bring in amendments t.o the Milk Ordinance. J. Bloom regarding the straying of horses belonging to Dan Mc'Govern., read and filed and on motion by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Pendleton, the permit of Mr. McGovern to'keep horses at #13 Bridge Street, was revoked, vacated and set aside. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance No. 355 C..S. introduced"b y Councilman Ingerson,, seconded by Councilman Ri.ewert °s,, appropriating and setting apart the sum of $800.00, to pay the cost of the construction of a public sewer from "I" Street across private property to the intersection of 8th and H Streets, was read; approved by the City Attorney and ordered posted. :ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance Yo. 354 C..S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, second ed by'Councilman Pendleton, providing for the acquisition of an easement for a public s -ewer over across the -lands of A.. Jobbins, came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes. NEW BUSINESS: Bids - Automobi e, Chief of Police. This being the time set for opening 'bids for the furnishing of an automobile the Clerk proceeded to open and read said bids from Sanderson Motor 'Co., Chas. G. Offutt, Murphy Chevrolet -Co., Petaluma Service Garage, Sparks' Motor Service and Petaluma Nash Co.., whereupon Resolution #3826 C'. S.. introduced by C:ouncilman.Ingerson, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, awarding the contract for said automobile to the Petaluma Nash Co., for the sum of $995.00 and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with said bidder, adopted by 7 affirmative votes,. Jobbins sewer easement: Resolution #3`827 C.S. introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, accepting; deed and agreement for sewer easement from A.. Jobbins and wife., and directing the Auditor to draw a warrant on the General Fund in the sum of $300.00 payment for said sewer easement.,, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. F7 , 193 Olive St Surer: Resolution 38'28 C.S. introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman Van Bobber, amending plans for the sewer from Olive and I Streets to the inter- section of'8th and "H" Streets,, adopted by 7_affirmative votes, and Res olu:ti on #3829 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bobber, seconded by Councilman Farrell., directing the Clerk to adv'ertise for bids for the construction of a six - inch sanitary sewer •from• I Street to the intersection of 8th and "HI 'Streets, adopted by 7 affirmative votes,. The Street Committee was. given: power to act in the matter of extend- ing the curbing on I Street at a point opp'osite'Olive Street. Street Repairs: The Street Committee. and Street Superintendent were given power to act in the matter of replacing certain water -bound macadam streets with oil -bound macadam.
