REPORTS OF OFFICERS The montHly reports of the Poundman, City W'harf:nger, Police Judge, Auditor and Treasurer, were'r-ead and filed. The Clerk `reported the filing of Affidavit of Publication of Ordinance. No.. 358 C'. S. - REPORTS OF .STANDING COMMITTEES: e Finance °Co ee submitted its - report; whereupon Resolution, #3849 C;.Z. introduced.by Councilman Van_.Bebber, seconded by Councilma d'irect_ing the, Auditor to draw .warrants. against the various City Funds in payment of claims. allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. C.S. introduced by Councilman Pendleton, seconded by Councilman Ingerson, being the new garbage ordinance, came.. up regularly and was adopted by 7` affirmative votes_. NEW BUSI TTESS Resolution #35:51 C.S. introduced by Councilman Kiew.erts, seconded by Councilman Ingerson, directing the Clerk to advertise for bids for the official advertising for the fiscal year,beginning July lst,:192,9, adopted'by 7 affirmative votes,. The City Engineer and Street Gommittee reported having investigated the matter of placing a sewer on Sth Street-, and- recommen- ded that no sewer be, ordered in as the. ,property is amply taken care of. Armstrong °:Kenilworth Park - Water The matter of Mr. Armstrong using city water from Kenilworth Park was brought up and on moti,on.by Councilman Farrell, aeconded by Councilman Van Bebber, the Build ing.and..Grounds- Cominttee; together with Councilman Pendleton, was appointed to investigate the matter and report back at the next regular meeting. Olive St. sewer'- construct by private contract. Res -oluti on , #385'2 C.S. Introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman Van, B'ebber, granting the petition of p'ropert owners on Olive Street to construct a sewer on Olive 'Street by private contract, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. ' Councilman Ingers!on reported that part of Kenilworth Park is badly in need of mowing. The matter was referred to the Buildings and Grounds Committee and the President of the Park Commission with power to act. Warrant - Olive St. sewer: . Resolution {3853 C ,;S. introduced by Councilman Farrell,, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, directing the Auditor to draw a warrant in favor of Rex Mercantile Co. for the contract price of the Olive St. sewer, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
