READING OF THE JOURNAL:
The minutes -of t e last regular. meeting of June 17th and the
adjourned meeting of June 22nd, were read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMI
The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon
Resolution #3869 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman. Van Bebber,
directing the Auditor todraw warrants on the various City Funds in
payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee,
adopted. by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
PETITIONS AND COMMUNICAT2ONS:
Report of the City A torney regarding the application of the
Pacific Gas & Electric Co. for a franchise and- regarding the deposit
of public funds, read and filed.

ADJOURNMENT:
A resolution was presented by Councilman Ingerson,
seconded by Councilman Van Bebber :appointing Charles A. Pendleton
a member of the Council of the City of Petaluma, which was read
and discussed but the.hour of 12 o'clock A.M. having arrived,
on motion by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber
the Council adjourned sine die.

appointing Ludtivig Schluckeber a member of the City Council to fill
the unexpired term of William <J. Farrell, adopted by 6 affirmative votes.

The monthly reports of the Auditor and Treasurer; Poundman;
Police Judge and City Wharfinger were read and filed.
The annual report of the Library Trustees was read and filed.

Screening - ball grounds
The matter of screening the ball grounds at McNear Recreation
Park was brought up by CouncilmaniRiewerts and referred to the Park
Commission for action.
A representative of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company
appeared to address the Council on the subj of their application
for a franchise but as some members of the Council were unfamiliar
with the matter it was carried over until the next meeting of the
Council.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion regularly made and carried the meeting adjourned.
