August 19, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Farrell.
ROLL CALL:
Councilmen present; Ingerson, McFadden., Miller, Riewerts,
Schluckebi er, Van Bebber. and Mayor Farrell.
READING OF - THE JOURNAL:
T he minutes o F .the last regular meeting of August 5th were
read'and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF STAND COM MIT T EES:
The Fin Comml — ' ee submitted its report, whereupon
R'esoluti on' #3889 C''. S.
introduced by Councilmen McFadden, seconded by Councilman Miller,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds
in .payment of claimsi allowed and approved by the Finance Committee,
adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Re - painting roof of City Hall;
The Buildings and Grounds Committee reported having inspected
the roof of the City Hall and recommended that this work be left until
next ,year...
Kentucky St. electroliers:
The Electrolier Committee reported that the merchants had
decided upon the type of el;ect'rolier to be installed on Kentucky Street
and asked_ that the City maintain the lights when once installed.. It
seemed to be the consensus of opinion that the Council would agree to
this.
Poultry.Producers 'Street Impv:
Mr. Ingerson of the Street Committee reported having inter-
viewed the Poultry Producers relative to building,a private roadway
and stated that he assured them that the Council had no intention of
permanently improving Bayliss Street.
Paula claim for damages:
The Buildings and Grounds Committee reported progress in
the matter of adjusting the Pauia claim for damages caused by loss
of hay and pasturage.
PETITIONS AND COMIUNICATI'ONS:

Resolution #3890 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Schluckebier, seconded by Counci -Iman McFadden,
granting said application, adopted: by 7 affirmative votes.
Communication from. the Biltmore Conservation Corp., complaining
of'the quantity and quality of garbage received, :read and filed.
Communication from the City'Planning Commission recommending
the granting of the application of Cline Furniture Co:., for-the re- zoning
of their, property, read and filed.
Communication from the City Planning Commi.s,sion recommending
that the ;application of Minnie and Henry de Klark for" the re- zoning
of their property at INOward and Bodega Avenue be denied,-read and
filed and after discussion the matter was referred back to the
Planning Commission for further consideration.
INTRODUCTION OF ORDINAN
Ordinan.cb �e359 C.S. introduced by Councilman McFadden,
seconded by Councilman Miller, re- zoning certain property, at 3rd and
K Streets from residence district or zone into commercial district
or zone, was read, .approved by the City Attorney, and ordered posted.
NEW BUSINESS:
Resolution /3`891 C.S.
introduced by Councilman McFadden, seconded by Councilman Schluckebier,
directing the Auditor to draw7warraht on the General Fund. in favor
of J. T. Studde -rt in the sump of 020.28 for money advanced, adopted by
7 affirmative votes.

Mr. I. 'B. Raymond addressed the Council relative to
elec.troliers and.pane,ls which he wishes to place on Raymond Heights.
The matter was referred to the Lighting Committee forereport back at
the next meeting.
The Buildings and Grounds Committee were asked to investigate
the matter of clearing the property next' to the City Dumps which has
been inadvertently used by the Council for the dumping-of rubbish,and
garbage and Which property does riot belong to the City.
