Regular meeting of -the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Farrell,.
ROLL CA LL:
ouncilmen present: Ingersoh -, McFadden, Miller, Riewerts,
Schluckebier, Van Bebber and Mayor Farrell.
READING OF THE JOURNAL:
The minutes of the last regular meeting of August 19th were
read and approved as recorded..
REPORTS.OF OFFICERS:
The monthly reports of,. the Poundman, Police' Judge, City
Wharfinger., Auditor and Treasurer were read and filed.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES:

Resolution #3892 C.S.
introduced by Councilman McFadden,, seconded by Councilman Schlu-ckebier,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants on the various City Funds in
payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance C- ommittee,
adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
PETITIONS AND COMMIT3PTICATIONS:
Comrnunication from TFe Bureau of Sanitary Engineering uigLn.g
attendance as .the next meeting of the California Sewage Works Associa-
tion, read and filed.
Resolution from the Petaluma Central Labor Council asking
that the City be represented at the hearings of the Railroad Commission
regarding the reduction of rates for electricity, read and filed and
on motion by Councilman McFadden., seconded by Councilman Riewerts, the
City Attorney was authorized to attend said hearings.
Letter from L. T. Lynch calling attention to the dangerous
intersection of 6th and "D" Streets read and filed and after discussion
the matter was referred to the Chief of Police to obtain , a definite
check on the traffic on both streets.
Communication from the War Department regarding the application
of the 'Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to lay a submarine
cable under Petaluma Creek was read and filed, and.

introduced by Councilman Riewerts,,seconded by Councilman Ingerson,
.approving said application with the proviso that said cable be
removed at any time upon demand of the City Council, adopted by 7
affirmative votes.
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES:
Ordinance o'l� 359 C.S. introduced by Councilman McFadden,
seconded by Councilman Miller, re- zoning the property of the Cline
Furniture Company at'3rd and K Streets from residence to business
district, came up regularly and was adopted.by 7 affirmative votes.
NEIN BUSINESS:
Resolution #/38.94 C .-S .
introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Riewerts,
granting 'IL, Weber 60 days additional time within which to complete
his contract , for the electrical equipment of the Washington Street _
Bridge, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
The Street Committee
reported having
investigated the request.
of I. B. Raymond for permission
to place ornamental panels at the
entrance to Raymond Terrace
and felt that the
matter should be
viewed by the entire Council
before granting
permission. The matter
was laid over :until_ the next
regular meeting
of the Council.
