November 18, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Farrell.

councilmen present: In.ger-son, McFadden, Miller, Riewerts,
Schluckebier, Van Bebber and Mayor Farrell.
READING OF THE JOURNAL:
The minutes of the last regular meeting of November 18th were
read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS:
The City Engineer submitted a survey of the property of the
Olmsted Company Water Street: Filed. In this connection their.
application for a building permit was denied , as illegal and the City
Attorney was directed to. submit an opinion as to the status of the
buildings which are now on city property.

d recti'rg the Auditor to draw warrants on the various City Funds in payment
of`claims allowed and,approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7
affirmative votes.

Water shortage- hill section:
Communication from the Railroad, Commission of the State of
California regarding inadequate 's ^ervice conditions of the California
Water Seryice Company and setting forth the improvements to be made
by th,e water company., read and filed.
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES:

seconded by .Councilman Schluckebier, came up regularly . and wa.s defeated
by 7 negative votes

Ordinance No. 56'5 C.S. introduced by Councilman McFadden,
seconded by Councilman Ingerson, re- zoning certain property on Western
Avenue and N.. Webster Street, came up regularly and was adopted by 7
affirmative votes.
Ordinance No. 3`66 C.S. introduced by Councilman McFadden, seconded
by Councilman Schluckebier, providing for speed limits within the City
of Petaluma, came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
INTRODUCTION OF 'OR

75rd-Inance No. 377, .S. introduced. by Councilman McFadden, seconded
by Councilman - Miller, prohibiting the parking of vehicles on "A" Street,
between 4th and 5th Streets,; was read, approved by the City Attorney
and ordered posted..
NEW BUSI.NESS
The gtreet Commit reported that the Bridge Street sbrm sewer
w-as practically completed.
Resolution „ #3'910 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman McFadden, granting
H. W eb.er 30 days extension of time on his contract for the electrical
.equipment of the Washington Street Bridge, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
The Street Committee reported the work on "I" Street completed
but at the suggestion of Mayor Farrell the Committee agreed to inte:rvi,ew
Mr..Cole and make any improvements that he might desire.
The matter of several streets in need of more light was discussed
and referred to the Street Lighting Gommitte,e

The Street Committee was requested to meet at least once
each month to outline a program of work and pass on the bills.
