Farrell, ROLL CALL: Councilmen present: McFadden, Miller, Riewerts', Schlucke- bier, Van Bebber and Mayor Farrell. Absent: Councilman Ingerson. READING OF THE , JOURNAL: e min -es of- th e ast regular meeting of December `16 were read and approved as .recorded. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: The monthly reports of the :Police Judge, Poundman,- Wharf - inger, Auditor and Treasurer were 'read and filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES: The Finance introduced by Councilman directing the Auditor to in payment of claims alli adopted by .6 affirmative Committee submitted its'report, whereupon Resolution #3918 C'.S. Biller, seconded by Councilman Schluckebier, draw warrants against the various City Funds )wed and approved bythe Finance Committee, votes, 1 absentee. Kenilworth Park as airport: Councilman Miller and. City Attorney Cromwell reported re- the status of Kenilworth Park, stating that it cannot be used as an airport because of its having been dedicated as a park to be used for park purposes only. Report filed and accepted. Fifth Street suit: Attorney Cromwell reported that the Superior Court sustained the demurrer of the in the Fifth Street litigation. _PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS: - p'p i cati on o P. AD.O.PTION�OF ORDINANCES: Or inanc:e o. 369 C'.,.S.:introduced by-Councilman Schluckebier, seconded ,by Councilman Miller, prohibiting the parking of vehicles on "A" Street, came up "regularly and was adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. NEW BUSINESS Music Fund appropriation,: Resolution #3:919 C.,S. introduced `by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Ri:ewerts., directing the Auditor to trans:Cer the sum of $2000.00 '-from the General Fund to the Music Fund, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. Ken =tucky St. electroliers: Resolution #392.0 G.Z. introduced by Councilman McFadden, seconded by Councilman Schluckebier, agreeing to accept and maintain the Kentucky Street'electroliers upon the completion of same to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and according to the plans and specifications on file and expressing the thanks of the City Council to the property owners for their generosity and public spirit in installing these electrol:ers, .adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
