ROLL CALL: Councilmen present: Ingerson, McFadden, Miller, Riewerts, Schluckebier and Mayor Farrell'. Absent: Councilman Van Bebber. READING OF THE JOURNAL: The minutes oT the last regular meeting of January 20th were read and ap= proved as recorded. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Th City Engineer filed a written of the Kentucky Street elec.trolier.s, wher Resoluti #3922 introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded accepting said electrolier,s, adopted by 6 absentee. approval of the installation upon C ..S'. by Councilman McFadden, affirmative votes, 1 The monthly reports of the Auditor and Treasurer, Poundman, Police Judge and City Wharfinger were read and filed. REPOR OF STANDING COlVS-7ITTEES: The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #3923 C.S. introduced by Councilman McFadden; seconded by Councilman Riewerts, .directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted - by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. Kenney fire protection plant: Councilman Miller reported that the Board of Fire Commissioners had discussed the matter �of accepting the fire protection plant of J.- A.. Kenney and had re'f erred tt back to the City Council without recommendation or prejudice: Mayor Farrell appointed a Committee, consisting of Councilmen Schluckebier, Riewerts and McFadden, to thoroughly investigate the situation and baring in a definite, report at the next meeting. NEW BUSINESS: Bro'en sidewalks: Councilman Ingerson brought up th "e matter of repairing broken sidewalks. The Superintendent of Streets was directed to make a list of all the sidewalks 'in :need of repair and the City Attorney was asked to bring in an opinion as to the Legality and manner in which the -work should be. done. Street lighting,program:. Councilman McFadden presented a tentative plan for the installation of bracket lamps on Thi -rd and North Main Streets at an additional cost of about-$89.00 per month over present cost of lighting,. Councilman McFadden was asked to bring in a,written report at the next meeting. J A protes -t regarding the dumping of automobile parts on property on Liberty and Washington Streets was referred. to , the City Attorney for advice.
