The Finance GommItt submitted its" report', whereupon.
Resolution 3`931 ;C.S.
introduced by Councilman killer; seconded by Councilman Sohluckebier,,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City-Funds
in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee
Adopted by ,7 affirmative votes.
The Finance Committee recommended that a set of maps•and directory
be 'purchased from Mr. C onner for the use of the City.
•The Street Committee reported regarding the Ke.okuk Street improvement
that all property owners, were willing to pay their pro rata, of the cost.
Thee Street Committee was g-i;venw -power to act in doing the" work.

Applications for permlss.lon. to sell soft drinks from J6e Tonich
and ,.Joseph Cutsinger were, -read and f iled 'and

introduced by Councilman Van Bobber,, se-conded by Councilman Ingerson,,
granting said applications, Adopted by ! affirmative votesi
Property, owners on.B from 4th to 6th Streets., filed a written
petition requesting better lighting for said street.. The matter was
referred to the Light -Committee - f or recommendation:
'Communication from Mrj, Fred 0. Hames: requesting a share in the
cityls insurance business-read filed.
Councilman Miller presented a letter from the Petaluma District
Council of the Boy Scouts-reporting on missing street signs and signs
in bad condition in the City of A map showing-the location
of every•sign and its condition at the present time accompanied the
communication. The splendid of the Boy Scouts in�cleaning the
signs- and making up the r6port-Wims highly commended by the and
Council and the Clerk "directed.to send the Boy Sc letter of
thanks in appreciation of their efforts.

Attorney Hall- addres sed the 'Council In behalf of the Biltmore
Conservation Corporation,.,, regarding the appointment of a garbage inspector.
After considerable discussion Or dinance No.. 371 C. S .. Amending the garbage
ordinance by providing for An I inspector, fixing his salary, etc. was
introduced by C-ouncilman R seconded by Councilman Ingerson
approved by the. 'City Attorney and ordered posted,.
NEW ' BUSINESS
THe ff,.ty.Engineer reported that there is no water service into
the park on Wes'�te,rn 'Avenue-, . He was directed to take the matter up with
Mr. Ellsworth of the California Water 'Service Company and request that
water be supplied the park; as soon as .possible.
Parking survey
The . Mayor reported.,tha the Citizeha Committee was working
on a survey of the parking situation and would probably make a detailed
report. at the next meeting the 'Council.
McNear Park -lavatories:
The matter-of installing lavatories at McNe-a Park -was discussed
and 'the City Engineer reported that he would have plans and specifications
ready for the next meeting.
