ROLL CA LL: Z�ouncilmen present: Ingerson, McFadden, Miller, Ri.ewerts, Schluckeber,, Van Bobber and Mayor Farrell. `READING OF THE JOURNAL: e m nu .e's o last regular meeting of April =21st were read and approved as recorded, REPORTS OF OFFICERS: Th mon _.y reports of the.Auditor and Treasurer, 'Poundman, Police Judge and City Wharfinger were read and filed, REPORTS OF +STANDING COMMITTEES: The Fi nance Comm '- n�sCrsport, whereupon Resoluto �`3936 introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman McFadden, directing the Auditor to draw warrants on the various:Ci"ty Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCESi. Ordinance No. .S. introduced by'Counci.lman Schluckebier, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, amending the traffic ordinance to provide for a boulevard stop .on Bassett 'Street at its intersection n with Howard Street, was read,approved by the City A torney,.and ordered posted. NEW $USINES:S e- er for careta . at City Dumps: On motion by Counc'idman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman McFadden, the Buildings and Grounds Committee were authorized to erect a shelter at the Cit Dumps for the caretaker, said building not to exceed the cost of 200. So ordered. Councilman Ingerson reported that city property along.Btidge Street is•bei -ng used as a dumping.ground and recommended that "No Dumping "' si,gns be erected there. Referred to the Street Superintendent with power to act. 'Councilman S,chluckebi.or reported that the committee investi.gat- ing a building code for the City of Petaluma have been work hg on it and are now waiting for the publication of a ne w simp building 'code which is to be ready in July. ..Committee granted further time. The Street Superintendent was directed to erect guard rails along a section of Water Street. Councilman. McFadden gave a report on the contemplated traffic survey and stated that an analysis or survey''of one block on. Western avenue, between Kentucky and gain Streets, is to be started -at: once. The matter of the dangerous° condition of the piling .along the Milani property above the Washington Street bridge was discussed and referred to the City Attorney, for investigation as to a legal remedy. Councilmen Van Bobber and I`ngerson were appointed to investigate the condition of the mechanism of the "D" Street bridge. d The Mayor was authorized to send a letter to the Herman.Sons Convention, inviting them to hold their next convention in Petaluma.
