READING OF THE JOURNAL: The minute o,f the last regular meeting of =Septeriber 15th were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF OFFICERS: T e monthly reports of the City Wharfingerr Police Judge,- Poundman, Auditor and Treas,u.rer, were read and filed. The Garbage Inspector filed a detailed report of premises inspected during the period of July 14th to October 6th.. Filed:. REPORTS OF STANDIN C.014TMITTEES: The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon. Res - olution #3962 C.S. ' introduced by Councilman Schluckebier seconded by Councilman Ingers'o.n, directing the Auditor 'to draw warrants against the various City Funds in payment of claims allol,red and - approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2�absentees. PETITIONS AND CONMUNICATI'O-NS: A pplications from the l400n Valley Grill and.' Brooks Panning for permi.s:sion to sell soft drinks read and filed. Application of Michael A. Silva for posati.on as Police Officer read and filed. Communication from the Plumbing Inspectors Association of California, re their convention. in Fresno December 5th to 7th read and filed. NEW BUSINESS Martha Street. grade: Resolution of Intention No. '3963 C.S. introduced by Councilman 'McFadden, seconded by Counci.lmari Van Bebber,, proposing to change the grade of Martha Street from the easte line of Kentu Street to the westerly line of Main Street', and setting forth elevations, etc. adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 1 absentee, Street ^ Lighting Contract - time for opening bids: Resolution #3964.C. Z. introduced by Gouncilman McFadden, seconded by Councilman' Van Bebber, extending the 'time for opening bids for the furnishing of electric energy, street lighting; etc. to October 20. -, 1930, at the hour of 7:3'0 P. M. adopted by 5' affirmative votes, 2' absentees . D.. F. Hayden-of Santa Rosa appeared before the Council and asked permission to install house numbers on the street curbs. H. L. Triplett appeared as an objector. 'The matter was referred to the Street. Committee -for report back at the next meeting. Councilman spoke regarding the order to install curbs- at. Liberty and ',76shington Streets and City Attorney. Cromwell reported having served notice on the property owner thereof and of also having spoken to him verbally. Resolution 4#3965 C.
