City of Petaluma called to order by Mayor Farrell. 25.5 ROLL CALL: Uouncilmen present Inger:son_, Miller, Riewerts., Schluckebier, Van Bebber and MayorFarroll. Agent: Councilman McFadden., (Mayor Farrell stated ated,that Mr. McFadden's absence: was dice; to the, fact that he had been delegated to represent the Mayor at the opening of the W. C. T. U. Convention.) READING OF THE JOURNAL-. The mUTutes of the last regular meeting of October 6th were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS•OF STANDING COMUTTEES: The Finahce''Committe submitted Its report, whereupon Resolution #3,966 C. S. introduced by Councilman'Miller seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Fund in payment of claims allowed and approved by the, 'Finance Committee.. , adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.. Street numbers: Coiincilma:n Ingers -of.the Street Committee reported' adversely on a plan to number the. houses of the city by placing the street numbers on 'the curb On motion,'by Councilman Millet-, 'seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, the report of the Streot Committee, accepted. Taxi-cab license.. et.ci The Committee appointed to investigate the application of local taxicab operators for certain dhafigest in the taxicab license ordinance filed a-written report,, recommending that no change be made as to the amount 6P'*the license tee; that the Chief of Police be �authorized-to set aside - not more than on& p c7 - p arking space for "the h exclusive use of each amount company; and that every taxicab d river , be'pompplled - to secure a P.qrmit: from the Chief of. Councilm Killer suggested that the views of the merchants l committee of' the Chamber of 'Commerce be invited and the Mayor thereupon appointed Councilman McFadden a committee of one to confer with .the merchants committee and report back. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS:— Petition from UFO.- H. Ott for stop buttons at -Western Avenue and Liberty Street was read, filed and referred to 'the Street Committee for report at the next meeting. Invitation from G. R. Hubbell, Chairman of the Armistice Day parade committee, inviting the M,Ayor° and, City, ' Council to participate ,in the parade, read and filed. On motion by'.Council.man'Van'B6bber, seconded by Councilman Riew6tts the invitation was accepted. Communicationfrom L. W. Garbage collection license; = Golf course licenses: Councilman Miller•brought - up the matter of placi-.ng, a lic'ense, fee on garbage collectors. The matter was , refei?r'ed to the City Attorney for inve'st'igation. Mr:. Miller also called attention to the fact that miniature golf courses are being licens. in other cities and that in fairness. to. other *pT4c%es• of amusement 'who are now paying license fees, that they should als o - b e t-aked -The Mayor appointed a C olMnittee consisting of Councilman Miller, Councilman Schlu'cke and the City Attorney to investigate and report back. I I Copeland Creek: On'motion by Councilman Miller, s by Councilman Riewerts, the request for an appropriation of $200 for the dredging of Gopoland- In the Penngrove-Clatati section was denied. The.
