Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Farrell.

C ouncilmen prevent: Ingeirson, McFadden, Miller, Riewerts,
Schluckebier; Van Bebber and Mayor Farrell.

The minu>es of the last regular meeting of January 5th were
read and approved as recorded,.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS.:
he repor of the Garbage Inspector, 'showing the results of
his third inspection. on January 14 1931 read and filed.

The Finance Committee it's report whereupon

introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman McFadden, - directing
the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds in payment of
claims allowed and a:pproved.by the Finance Committee; adopted by 7
af firmative votes.
Baker .& Stanley St.. overflow:
• Councilman Ingerson reported-that he believed the overflow
drainage from 'Baker'Street into Stanley Street would-be taken care of
satisfactorily by ,the installation of a large catch basin and sewer pipe.
It was the consensus of opinion that this „plan be tried out.

NEW BUSI_NESS;,
Councilman McFadden reported having conferred with the Secretary
of the Chamber. of Commerce regarding the rights of way along Petaluma.
Creek and stated that the Secretary had promised to keep him posted as to
the progress of this work;.
Street Superintendent Glahn reported that property owners along.'
American Alley were using the alley for garbage receptacles, etc. in
violation. of the 'ordinance covering the use - of streets and alleys,. Ile
was.g'iven power to act in bringing 'thi's violation to their attention,.
The complaint of'Mrs. Monetti, manager of the�Continental
Hotel, that the new ele,c,troliers on Western Avenue, throw a flood
�of'light directly into the outside rooms of the hotel, thus making
them untlenable,, was, d_i:scussed at length. C'ounc'ilman McFadden
of the Light Committee reported that the matter was, under co.ns' dera-
tion at . present and that a solution to"the problem is 'being sought -.
