AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR
PARTIAL FUNDING OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA BIKEWAY PROJECT
WITH THE BAY AREA AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT AND
REVISING THE PROJECT BUDGET FOR PAVEMENT RESTORATION 17/18
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has adopted policies calling for the development of
integrated bicycle system throughout Petaluma in the 2008 General Plan 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District provided a draft agreement
to provide $48,500 in funding to the City to execute a project that would create 3.6 miles of
additional Class III bikeways in Petaluma identified in the 2008 General Plan 2025;
WHEREAS, the work to be completed as part of this grant funding is identified in Final
Environmental Impact Review (EIR) of the 2008 General Plan 2025;
WHEREAS, the Petaluma City Council reviewed and considered the information
contained in the Final EIR of the 2008 General Plan 2025 as documented in Resolution No.
2008-058 N.C.S. pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act and Title 14, the California
Code of Regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Petaluma hereby:
1. Authorizes the City Manager to Execute an Agreement for Partial Funding of the
Project with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in an amount of up to
$59,255 based on the draft included as Attachment 2 to the staff report for this item
(which attachment made a part of this resolution by reference) subject to approval by
the City Manager of the final agreement terms and confirmation by the City Attorney
that the agreement terms appropriately address the needs of the project and the City's
interests.

2. The Council approves the amendment to the existing project, Pavement Restoration
17/18, to adjust the budget during the next available quarterly budget adjustment
cycle to reflect the revised project budget of $1,339,624.

I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the
Council of the City of Petaluma at a Regular meeting on the 171h day of September
