ROLL CALL: P'resent..r Councilmen In.gerson, McFadden, Miller, Riewerts, Sehluckebie7 Van Bobber, and.Mayor Farrell. -. READING OF THE JOURNAL: The minutes of the last regular meeting of April 20th were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF' OFFICERS: 'The reports of the City Wharf nge , Poundman, Police Judge., Auditor and Treasurer were read and filed.; The City Attorney submitted a written report regarding the taxation of property owned by a municipality located outside of the corporate limits, said report applying ,especially to a recent act of the CountyaAsse"ssor in assessing that portion of Kenilworth Park lying outside of the- City'Limts. Read and filed. REPORTS OF 'STANDING COMMITTEES: The "-Finance Committee submitted its report., whereupon Resolution #4016 C..S. introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded b.y Councilman McFadden, direct- ing `the Auditor * to -draw warrants against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance C'omrnittee, and further directing the Auditor to transfer the sum of $113.19 from the General Fund. to the Park Bond Fund, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: - 0 - r inaneb No.`3 O .C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Miller, being the election proclamation, came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative vote's,. Ordinance No. 381.C.S. introduced by Councilman Schluckebier, seconded by Councilman Miller, providing for a boulevard stop on English Street at its intersection with the northeasterly line of Fair Street, came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes. N5f1' BUSINESS: n a ista.Street Improvement: ` :piiric_ lmanJngerson I of the Street Committee reported that he believed it impossible to secure any more signers to the petitions Already filed re the improvement of certain streets in Linda Vista subdivision. - ' The matter was discussed and Resolution #4018 C.S. introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Counci,lman.Ingerson, instructing the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for the 'improvement of Hill Blvd., Hayes Avenue and Belle View Avenue, together with an estimate of the cost of said improvement, adopted`by 77 affirmative votes. Mr. McGoldrick entered, 'a protest for his client against the. spur track,_ 'gravel plant and warehouse recently erected by Mr,.
