Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma
called to order by Mayor Farrell.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Miller, Riewerts, Schluckebier, Van
Bebber and Mayor Farrell.
- :Absent: Councilmen Ingerson and McFadden.
READING OF THE JOURNAL:

read and approved as recorded.

Communication from the Petaluma Post No. 1929 Veterans of
Foreign Wars of the U. S. endorsing the proposed ordinance giving
preference in the employment of local labor upon .munici'pal projects,
read and-filed.
IN.TRODU OF ORDINANCES
Ord name No. 382 C.S., introduced_by Councilman. McFadden,
seconded by Councilman hiller, enforcing preference for the employment
of resident laborers performing labor upon public works in the City of
Petaluma,, was read, approved by the' City Attorney, and ordered posted.

The Clerk was directed to send for data regarding the
cleaning of the exterior walls of the City Hall,
The matter of repainting the metal work on the Washington
Street Bridge was discussed and'referred to the Street Committee for
investi'gat:`on and report back.
The City ,Engineer requested that the members of the City
Council meet with him at the Lnda,Vista subdivision and personally
go over the details of the proposed street improvement.

The City Attorney reported having investigated the
ordinances submitted to him on the control of radio interference and
stated that at the present t the City has no one to enforce such
an ordinance. The matter was laid on the table until after the adoption

of the uniform building code.
