July 20, 1931.:
Regular meeting of the Council of the City of. Petaluma
'called to order'by Mayor Farrell.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Ingerson, McFadden, Miller, Riewe-rts,
Schluckebier, Van B'ebber and Mayor- Farrell.

,READING OF THE JOURNAL:
The minutes of the last regular meeting of July 6th were
read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES:'
The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon
Resolution #4036 C.S*.
introduced by Councilman Schluckebier, seconded by Councilman
Van Bebber, directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the-'
various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by
the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS:
. Application from the McNally Insurance Agency, asking.for
a portion of the'city insurance, read and filed.
Letter from°Walter F. Adams, Civil Engineer of'Santa Rosa,
applyng'for appointment as bridge engineer for the new D Street bridge,
read and filed.
-ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES:
Ordinance No. 383 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebbdr,
seconded by Councilman Miller, imposing a license fee upon the business
of public miniature :olf courses, carne up regularly and was adopted
by 7 affirmative votes..
NEW BUSINESS:
Painting of Washington St. bridge: _
Specifications and estimate for the painting of ,the Washington
Street bridge was .submitted and filed. In as much as the estimate
showed a cost of less than.$200.00 the matter was referred to the Street
Committee with power to act.
The Light Committee reported that an additional light will
soon -be placed at Walnut Park.

ouncilman Riewerts and Councilmin�Ingeron -complained-of
the unpleasant condition of the city wager, especially in the hill
section. In•this regard the mayor reported that tests of the water
had been made ,at.frequent intervals -and had shown no chemical
impurities. However, he st.ated.that another test would be made at
once.
The Chief of Police reported having erected signs at
Kenilworth Park prohibiting camping..
Removal of guy pole:
The City Clerk- reported having notified the Pacific .Gas
& Electric Company to remove the guy pole on the `westerly side of Main
.Street .south of Oak Street.

On motion regularly made and carried the meeting adjourned.
