ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Riewerts, Schluckebier, Van Bebber,and 'Mayor Farrell,. \� Absent: Councilmen Ingerson, McFadden, and miller. READING OF THE JOURNAL: The minutes. of the last regular meeting of December 7th were read and approved as.recorded. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES: ~ The Finance Committ°ee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #4069 C,S. introduced by,Councilman Schluckebier, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 4 affirmative vo-bes, 3 absentees Councilman Riewerts reported that the scavengers have placed a man in charge of the city dumps and that apart of the sewer farm had been leased to the oz,,,mess of the reduction plant as a place on which to run hogs. PETITIONS AND. COMIIIUNICATIONS : FormAl notice of the public hearing to beheld by the War Department on the application of the City of Petaluma for a permit to build a new bridge across the river at D Street, said hearing to be on January Sth, 1932 at 2 o'clock P.M. was read and filed. NEW BUSINESS: A delegation of property owners on Olive Street, addressed the City Council, asking that said street be made passable for the winter. The matter was discussed and referred to -the -Street Committee and Street Superintendent with power to act. City Engineer Gonzalez reported the new section of sewer along Rogers Creek, nearly completed. Also that the drain pipes at the high school had been installed. Resolution ;4070 'C.S. introduced by Councilman Schluckebier, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, providing that money derived by the citizens committee for relief of the unemployed be deposited with the city treasury, said money to be used to pay the men who work on city improvements and, repairs, adopted by 4 affirmative votes, 3 absentees.
