Adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma
called to order by Mayor Farrell.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Ingerson, Miller, Riewerts, Schluckebier.,
Van Bebber, and Mayor Farrell.
A petition was presented by Attorney Howell on behalf of
R. A,. Douglas, asking that the application of Mr., Douglas f or.
permission to erect a service station on. his property on 3rd.and
I.Streets be re- considered: The matter was discussed and
re- referred to the Planning Commission for further consideration.
Mayor. Farrell stated that this was the time set by law
for the canvass of the returns of the Special Municipal Election
held on May 17th, 1932. The Clerk. stated that all of the returns
and records were in and the Council thereupon proceeded to canvass
the returns of said Special Municipal Election, with the following
result, to -wit:

introd eg by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman -Van Bebber,
statin proposition #1 there were a total.of 1728 `votes cast;
that of said total vote there were 198 votes again=st the amendment
of-Section 2 of Artid;le 11 of the Charter of said City,; and 1530
votes in favor .of the amendment of :Se ction 2 of Article 11 said
Charter., it appearing therefrom that a ma. jority of the qualified
electors voting upon said proposed amendment voted in'favor of
same.; ratifying said amendment and resolving that same be submitted.
to th.e Legislature at the next regular or special session thereof,
adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee, and .
Resolution #4100 C S.
introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Schluckebier,
stating that on proposition # #2 there, were a total of 1737 votes.
cast; that'of said total vote there were 163 votes against the
proposition of incurring a bonded indebtedness of'$80,000 and
1574 votes in favor of incurring said bonded* indebtedness; therefore
resolving that ; said proposition had passed and authorizing the
issuance of said bond,"adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
