Regular meeting of the Council of the' City of Petaluma called to order by Mayor Farrell: ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen 'Ingerson, ' Miller, RieWerts, Schluckebier, Van Bebber, and Mayor Farrell. Absent : Councilman McFadden. READING OF THE JOURNAL The minutes of the last regular meeting of May 16th, and the meeting of May 23rd, were read and approved as recorded. REPORT OF OFFICERS _ The monthly,reports of the City Police Judge, Poundman, And City Treasurer were read and filed. REPORTS OF STANII NG COMMITTEE: e Fi nance Committee subm its report, wheretpon Resolution # 4101 CO' S. introduced by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman _Schluckebier; directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and ap- proved by the Finance Committee, adopted by six affirmative votes. i Councilman Ingerson reported to the effect that the property owners of Mountain. View avenue, are all signing up for the permanent improvement of that portion of the avenue within.the City Limits, there being few who'have not already signed. S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber,.s.econded by Councilman Miller, granting said application, adopted by six affirmative votes. Following_ a communication from Horace George Cotton, expert landscape Architect, who has�b.een consulted in the planning of Wid�6rsham Park, Mayor Farrell,announ'ced the _appointment of a special committee to assist and advise in the laying out of the.Park, Mrs U. G. 'Mattei, Mr Thoma -s Maclay, and Mr H. C. Scrutton were named as special committee, and the Clerk ordered to write to them of the. appointment,. A communication from the State Board of Railroad Commission., ,stating that. an application has been filed, for a consolidation. of the offices, of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad Co.', and the Petaluma and Santa Rosa_ Railroad Co., in this City, and stating that any objections on the part of the :City or Citizens, to bb--filed with t he commission within two weeks. Mayor Farrell named Councilman. Miller and Van Bebber, and Sehlu.ckebier a special committee to report back to the Council at the next regular meeting on June 20th. NEIii BUSINESS: Resolution # 4104 G. .S. introduced by Councilman Riewer_t,, seconded by Councilman Miller,, direct- ing the C-lerk to advertise for ,bids. for the City printing and advertising, for the. fiscal year. beginning July 1st., 1932. The proposal shall-specify the type and, spacing to be used, and the rate or ra:t&s named in the bid, said bid to be. in writing and d elivered to the Clerk.; 338 of the City of Petaluma, on or before June 20th,- 1932. adopted by six a. ffirmative votes. Resolution # 4105 C. S: introduced by Councilman Riewerts, sec onded by Councilman Yl:ller.,- ordering the Auditor and Treasurer to transfer 'the, sum of $500.00 from the Ri:ve,r and Water Savings Fund, to th River and Water Harbor' Fund, adopted by six affirmative votes.. R. A. DOUGLAS APPLI CATION DENIED: The City'Planning Coihmissi reported in writing, bri t the application of R. A. Douglas for a• permit to improve certain property on •3rd and I streets, for a gas and oil service s,tati.on recommended to the City Council that said application be denied. The matter was discussed by Attorney Fre.d Howell for the ,petitioner, and Attorney J. B. Lounibos far the y � � protestants,— - whereupon Resolution # 4106 C. S. introduced by Councilman Miller, s eco n ded by Councilman Van Bebber, denying the application, adopted by six affirmative v ote.s.
