Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma

Van Bebbor- and. Farrell.
Absent: Councilman Ihgerson.
READING OF THE JOURNAL:.
The minutes of the last regular , meeting of July 5th were
read and approved as recorded.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS:.
The annual report :of the Park Commi,ss.ion read and
filed.. Mayor Farrell commended the Commission highly for s'ubmitting
such a complete and.,splendid report.
The Clerk reported the fil of Affidavit of` Publication
of Ordijjance, No. 392 G. S.
RE-PORTS OF STANDING COMIJITTEES:

introa by Councilman McFadden, ae ' 'conded by Councilman Miller,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the. various City
•Funds in payment of claims : allowed -and approved by.,the Finance
Committee, adopted by 6 affirmative votes,.1 absentee..-,-
Councilman Schluckebier reported progress in� the. matter

of the improvement of M t View Avenue stating that the agreement
had
,.been signed for by all of the property owners with
the exception of one and that the money for the work .is now being
collected.

seconded. by Councilman Rieweks approving and adopting, plans, and

D Street,, in the City ' , of Petaluma,• and directing the Clerk to
advertise for .sealed proposals and bids for said work, came up
regularly, and was adopted by affirmative votes., 1-absentee_
NEW -BUSINESS:
The'.matter of 6onstructing.some kind of root, over the
bleachers at.Kenil*brth Park for the protection of ;spectators: was
-brought to., the . attentlon+of th6 City Council by Counci
B6bber,and refb.r to the' Park Commission.
The matter of outside trucks was,disciis'sed and
,City Attorney Cromwell was instructed to prepare an ordinance
covering same:
The rquest for a street light"on the Wallace Tract
referred.to�Cou
Residents in the neighborhood, of Fair Dana and :Sheldon
Streets addrassed the Council; , asking that some action be:ta!ken in
the matter of removing old machinery from a vacant lot on Dana Street.
The matter was referred to Councilman. Schluckebier and Chief Peters
for investL
