called to "order by Mayor Farrell.

PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS:.
CoEF cation _rZm e League of Calif o.rn -a Municipalities,
announcing a meeting to be held at the invitation of Mayor Farrell
at Petaluma on Thursday, August 18th, at 6:30 P.M. at the New Hotel
Petaluma, for the purpose of establishing a more intimate relationship
with the various cities of.,the state and for the organization of the
North Bay •League of Municipalities, read and filed.
NEW° 'BUSINESS:
Resolution #4122 C .S.
introduced by Councilman McFadden, seconded by Councilman Riewerts,
authorizing Mayor Farrell to execute a release to S. Forman for all
claims arising from damage to electric light standard, adopted by 7

affirmative votes. • . w , j
Opening of bids for new "D" Street bridge:
This being the time set for opening bids for the construction
of a'bascule bridge, together with the approaches thereto, over the Petaluma
River, at or near- D Street, the Clerk reported having received thirteen
bids and proceeded to open and read said bids,, as follows:

whereupon a recess was declared, the bids considered, and taken under
advisement until Wednesday,, August 10th, at 7s30' P'.M,
On motion by Councilman Mi.11er,-seconded by Councilman McFadden,
the check's of the five lowest bidders were retained and the others
were returned upon request of the bidders.
ADJOURNMENT:
On motion regularly made and carried the meeting, adjoia,rned,
until Wednesday, August 10th, 1932, at 7:30 P.M.
