ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Ingerson, McFadden, Miller, Riewerts, Schl" bier, Van Bebber, and Mayor Farrell. - READING OF JOURNAL: Th6-R1riiiLtes last regular meeting: of March 20th were read and approved as recorded. - REPORT9...OF OFFIOERS The monthly - reports of the P Police Judge, Wharfinger, Auditor and Treasurer., read and filed. REPORTS OF STANDING GOMMITTEE&: The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #4168 04S. , introduced by lCouncilman 'Miller, seconded by Councilman McFadde I n, d irecting the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funda in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. The Street Committee reported that the surplus storm water on I and Olive Streets could be taken care of by the Street Committee for a coift of about 20,00. Communication from Mr. Harry Benton., being his resignation as Park'Commissione read *and filed. Mayor Farrell, and members of the Council complimented Mr. Benton for his splendid work'as Park Commissioner, and expressed regret at 'his resignation;. On motion by Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman the resignation was accepted. K. Jaquith,. 'City Attorney Cromwell presented transfer of the lease of the old shoe factory building from the Estate of the late R. W.. Burrows to W. K. Jaquith-, which transfer was. approved by the City Council and d by the members ,of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. Regarding this building Councilman Miller reported that it was badly in need of repair,, many of the windows being broken and Presenting an unsightly appearance. . Laid over until the -next meeting the proposal of,Attorney H. Clifford to represent this city 'before the State Board of 'Railroad. Commissi in an effort to, secure lower, gas rates.
