Regular adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma
called to order.by Mayor Farrell.

City Charter and submitted

which resolution was adopted by.7affirmative votes.:
"Section 72.*. The. City of Petaluma, shall have the right and
power
regulations in respect to
to make and enforce all laws and
muni,cipal affairs, sub *ect only to restrictions and limitati
ons
Provided ' in this charter; provided that nothing herein shall
be construed to prevent or restrict the City-from exercising,
or ,consenting to., and the City is hereby authorized to exercise
any and' all rights, powers and privileges heretofore or hereafter
granted or prescribed by,. the general laws of the State.. it

that the traffic patrol in Sonoma 'C ounty should not be reduced.
Beer ordinance
City Att orne 7 Cromwell presented an ordinance regulating the

distribution, sale, etc. of beverages I ' n excess of one--half of one per
cent of alcohol by volume and not in excess of 3.2 per cent of alcohol
by Weight, which ordinance was read and discussed section by section,
and 'suggestions made for the changing of some parts of it. The
City Attorney was directed to revamp the ordinance as suggested and
have it,ready for imtroducti:on at the adjourned meeting of the,Cou'ncil
On Wednes, evening, April 12th. 'Numerous persons interested in
the beer question were present, and were given, . an opportunity to express_
their views on the subject.
ADJOURNMENT:
THFr no further business on motion regularly made and
carried the meeting adjpurned until v6eanesday,, April 12th, at 7:00 P.M.
