Councilman Wobdsoh, Chairman of the Board of Public Works,
reported that the Committee had met on two dif occasions and. had

it would'be necessary to have defihite data to place before the Reconstruct-
ion Finance Qorwporation -- vihen applying for federal aid., and he recommended
that engineer be secu 'to make a survey of our conditions andprepare°

discussed by the entire Council in the very future.
Wa'shingto'n' St.' bridge repairs:
,Councilman Van Bebber of the Street Committee reported'having
viewed the Washington Street.Bridge and.stated that he considered it in
a Very dangeroAs condition;. the - stringers' and planking being in veryl
bad condition.. He estimated that .the cost of repairing the 'bridge
would be; about $600.00 City Engineer Gonzales was dire to prepare
andpresebt plans and specifications for this work by-next Monday night

Municipal Wharf plans and specifications:

The Clerk reported receipt of the report from the annual
audit of the books of the City of Petaluma, which report was placed.

On motion by 'Councilman S'chluckebier, seconded. by Council-
man Ri.ewerts irCity Engineer Gonzales:was' delegated to "represent
Petaluma "at the Building Indpector's Convention at Monterey.
Councilman Schluck.ebier, Chairman of the-Board-of Fire
Commission,, repo
a rted the need of an ordinance requiring that all
fire's, occurring in the City of Petaluma `be reported.. Mayor Farrell .
appointed Councilmen Schluckebier, McFadden and Deiss to prepare
such an ordinance..
Mr. C. W. Carpenter addressed the Council again 'requesting
the re- grading - of a portion of Baker Street remedy the overflow
of flood. water - acros:s his property. The- matter was referred to
Councilman` Vans Bebber of the Street Committee with power, to act.
Mayor Farrell reported on a recent meeting held in San.
Francisco wh -ch he attended and at which Were mayors from 65 cities
in the State: He stated that it Was a very fine meeting at which
all pledged their c.o- operation in promoting the interests of
thei neighboring cities.
The special committee named to investigate the complaints-
of F. A. ..Holmes and others regarding the' operation of a sack
factory on -7th Street asked. for and was .granted further 'times
Park Commissioner Steitz was present and discussed with
the Council matter- of the tennis court at Wickersham Park. i
Inasmuch °astwo new members been added to the Board it was
decided that they be interviewed and.tbieir views obtained regarding
this matter.
Discussed with:out'action the matter- of licensing outside
trucks and beer.
Attorney Cromwell was given power to act in the a•ettle-
ment of a small claim..
