ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen Deiss, McFadden.,, Riewerts, Schluckebier, Van Bebber, WOodsonand Mayor Farrell, 'The Clerk read the Mayor's call for meeting Which stated that the meeting was called for the purpbse of takin'g for. the employment of the services of a. certified public accountant to immediately audit the books of the City of Petaluma; and to receive the resignations of certain City Officials. The first item of business wasTta:ken,up and motion was made by Councilman Woodson, seconded by Councilman RiewOrts, that a certified -public accountant be employed immediately to'audit the book's of the City of Petaluma,,*. Motion, carried and so ordered. .At the suggestion of Mayor Farrell the motion was put in the - f orni of a resolution *hereupon Rdaolutlon #424'5 Ce-Se introduced by Councillmah'Woodsqn seconded by Councilman RievOrts.., resolving that a-certified public actoun'tant 'be employed to immed- i.ately audit the books of the City, adopted. by 7 affirmative Votes. Resigna Mayor Farrell asked permission -to addresa the Council and read a statement of hips work and accomplishments with the City of Petaluma as Councilman -and Mayor, stating that his every endeavor had been for the best interests of the City of Petaluma. 11e, wished his successor success. M,..Ri6w6rts as member of the Counail of the City of Petaluma effective upon the mlecti,on of'his successor, but in any event,, effeative February 5,., 19.34., was also read and filed.
