Deiss, Gervas.orii, Jones, McNear, Penry, Woodson,.and Mayor McFadden. READING OF THE JOURNAL;: , The minutes of the last regular meeting .of May were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF O FFICERS: -T' e monthly reports of the Wharf ,nger, Police Judge, Poundman., Auditor, and Treasurer, were read and filed. ► The City Attorney, submitted a written re ort on the claim recently filed by Giuseppe Merla..for a rebate of &250.00;, - advising that the claim be: taken. under advisement pend'in.'g the ruling in the case. of People vs. Nelson, Filed. A. discussion was had of the application as prei :ously made to the Public Works Admini- stration, Mayor McFadden stating that there is still a possibility of obtaining Federal aid for tyre project. Avenue to- the westerly line, of Orchard Lane; the grade of Belle.View Avenue from the west- erly line of Orchard Lane to the westerly line of Hayes Avenue; the grade of Orchard Lane from the southerly line of Hill Boulevard to the northerly line of Belle View Aveiiue,­ the., grade of Hayes Avenue from the southerly line of B6,11e View Avenue•to,the northerly line of Hill. Boulevard to provide for the change of grade of Belle 'View' Avenue from the westerly line of 'Hayes Avenue to the westerly line of Qrchard Lane, read, approved - by the City Attorney, and ordered published. NEW BUSINESS: Tfaq of Freeholders for Expense Account: ]Kr. M.Von6en, representing the Board. Of Freeholders, addressed the Couhcil stating that the Board would be dbli,g6d to incur some expenses in its work and asked for assurance _frbm the City Council that said expenses would be paid. The matter was referred to the City Attorney for advice. Hopper St. repair of that portion between tracks: cks: City Attorney Brooks reported that.he was awaiting a further reply from the Northwestern Pacific R. R. Co. regarding the repair of Hopper Street. Approving routing of State Highways through P 9 Resolution #4295 C.S. introduced by Councilman Woodson seconded by Councilman. Gervas on, i 'i ap.prov.. -n , ' g, the routing of the State Highways through Pataluma, adopted by'7 affirmative votes. The City Attorney was authorized to, purchase the 1934 supple- m-ent of YcQAillahla Muhicipal Corporations. Unauthorized nepairs to dwelling at Sewer Farm: Councilman Jones reported having viewed the dwelling at the City Sewer Farm and had disc that the - le-szee of the pro perty was making considerable alteratinns to the dwelling without having secured permission so to do. The City Attorney was asked to communicate with the Royal Tallow & Soap Company and ask for an explanation of 'itz action in the mat-ter. The unsani.tAry condition of lavatories at Walnut 'Park was referred to the Park Commission. The City Engineer was directed to investigate the premises of S. Pinto, East Court Ztreet, t:o,.ascertAin whether or not he has complied with the orders of the Boardbf Health for the sanitary disposal of his sewage, UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Sprinkler System: Resolution , #429'6 C.S. introduced by 'Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by doundil man Dei,as', dibterminin postpone stpone indefinitely the work of constructing and installing the sprinkler system in Hi ii Plaza •ark', a dopted by 7 affirmative votes. Grouting Machines A discussion was had.regarding the sinking of the easterly approach 'to the D,Street Bridge and the best methods of remedying it Councilman Deiss was asked to work with the Division, of Highways on the matter. Levee St.. Shall Bin;:, City Attorney Brooks reported having,int , erviewed Mr,- Paulson regarding 'his request for permit to erect a shell bin, on Levee Street 'and having obtained a -diagram And plan of said work. He asked that the StreOt Committee examine, the plan and if satisfactory he will draw tp the necessary permit,. Referred to the Street Committee,. +F % Y0 Town Clock: The G t,y Attorney read, a letter which he had written to the Masonic Hall Association which letter was approved by the City Council and ordered :sent to said Association. All Night Dancing, Councilman Dei "ss .reported having interviewed the three restaurants where dancing has •been permitted and s'ta -ted that the proprietors had expressed their willingness to,stop� - dancing at 1 o t el ock on w6ek nights and .2 o o clock on Saturday ;'and= Sunday nights. The.necessity of an ordinance to such effect was considered but postponed`. Chief Peters was directed to interview the propr.- iet:ors and ask their , co operation in carrying out the above plan.
