RO LL CALL: �ireser_ti Councilmen Deiss., Gervason, Jones, 'McNear; Penry, Woodson, 'and Mayor McFadden. The Clerk read the call for meeting °wh.ich stated that the purpose of the meet is to introduce a-nd adopt a resolution determining that the public necessity and convenience;require`s the installation and construction of a sewage disposal system, which, resolution is required under the act requiring the submission of public improvements where the cost exceeds the annual income and revenue of the City. . The Clerk also read the consent to the holding of said special meeting, which was signed by all, of the, members of the `City Council. The Following resolution was introduced by Councilman Deis,s, seconded by Council man Penry,, and adopted by 7 affirmative votes; i -. e�. Councilmen Dei ss, Gervas ;oni,Jones, McNear., Penry,ti'Voodson. �a.nd Mayor McFadden: Resolution #4304 C.S. BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Petaluma x shall., and -by this Res.o-lution does, 'determine that the public interest and necessity demarids7 the acquisition, aons`tructon and completion of , a municipal improvement, to- wit: A.sewer and sewage disposal system, .including pipes, disposal plant,pumps, pumping plant,. machinery, equipment, land, easements, and other works, property . and appliances necessary or convenient to make and provide a complete , sewer and" sewage disposal. system 'for this city. Said municipal improvement is necessary and convenient'to carry out the object- purposes =, and powers of said city, and thei cost of said municipal improvement is and will be too.-great paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said.city. Councilman McNear objected to the wording of the resolution and,stated that it: was,his understanding that this meeting was called to adopt a- resolution for a.sewer system and that the wording of this resolution means a complete sewer system and not a complete >­ treatment'. as may be deemed by th wording°. City Attorney with - Mr : Harrington of dictated the language to be contained in the interest and, necessity to in thi.s'resolu,t.ion, resolution.
