December 3rd, 1934.
Regular meeting of the Council'of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor McFadden.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Deiss, Gervasoni, Jones, r °IcNear, Petry,
Woodson, and Mayor McFadden..
READING OF THE JOURNAL:
e minutes c7 the last regular meeting of November 19th and
the special meeting of November 26th were read-and approved as recorded.
REPORT OF OFF_ I'CERS :
The monthly reports of the Auditor,, Treasurer, Poundman,
`Wharfinger and Police Judge, were, read and filed.
Th.e Clerk reported the filing of Affidavit of Publication of
Ordinance No. 425 C . S,.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES:
The Finance C"omm_ittee submitted its report, whereupon
Resolution* #4342 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Aloo;dson,.s: +econded by Councilman McNear; directing
the Auditor to draw warrants (Nos. 1156 to 1243 inclusive) against the

Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
PETITIONS ,AND COMMUNICATIONS:
Lett-er from "t e l Chamber of Commerce, attaching a list
of three proposed SERA projects for the consideration of the City Council.,
read and filed.
Communication from Hilary H. Crawford, Attorney for Mrs. Goodman,
stating that Mrs. Goodman is in the mood to make the dedication of the
land necessary for the opening of Sixth Street and advising that the
deed would soon be'in. the hands of the Council, read and filed.
Letter from the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works
to the City Attorney, advising that steps would 'be taken for the rescind -
ing of the loan and grant to the City of Petaluma in the amount of
$325,000, read and filed.
ADO PTION OF OR
Ordinance Djo, 425 C.S. introduced, by Councilman Petry, seconded
by Councilman neiss., being the election proclamation, calling a special
municipal election in the City of Petaluma for the purpose of submitting
to the au.al_fied electors of this city a charter prepared and proposed for
the City of Petaluma by the Board of Freeholders elected May 15, 1034,
came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes.

City Engineer Gonzalez reported regarding the Cherry Valley
Sewer that there would be a meeting of ihterested property owners this
coming week, to be called by Dr. J. Anderson. Mr. Gonzalez further
reported that Mr. A. F. Tomasini had agreed - 6 supply the materials

'The St-reet Committee reported that the request of Mr. Painter
that a small section of curb at 349 Main Street be removed, had been
investigated and it had been decided to paint the curb red thus prohibiting
parking or stopping. The committee felt that this might be a solution
to the problem.
SERA Projects:
The projects for SERA work as suggested by the Chamber of Commerce
were discussed and taken under ad.vi.s'ement, Mayor McFadden offering
to interview the property owners regarding the removal of the bend on
Fair Street.
It. was reported that the M:c,Near Company are willing to
grant permission for the use of the Winery Sewer by the Bi.ltmore
Conservation. Corporat oh. It was further reported, however, that the
manager of the Bltmore Plant does not believe that this sewer will be
adequate and, th.e.refore wishes permi,ssi,on for construct an independent
sewer from the plant. The matter was referred to the Street
Committee for investigation and report back.
