Regular meeting of the. Council of the, City of Petaluma called
to order by Ma McFadden.

Councilman McNear Chairman of the Light Committee,, -reported tha
the property owners, on Me-in Street 'had decided in favor of installing new
electrolie at the time of the widening of the street and that a,comm-
ittee had been appointe'd to take care of a 11 of the details of the lighting
improvement.

Re-purchase of cement mixer:

The Superintendent of Streets ad,dres ed the C'ou'mci,l
mixer at a co,st, of
the -purchase of'a cement _8. He 'stated that it
can be on,the,installment plan and that he believed it to be
a -good buy, the -m I ixer having originally .cost $9,90.00, and, that .it is
gu6.ranteed.� It was the consensus of opinion that the mixer be purchased
and the me -tier was left . to the City Attorney and. Superintendent of Streets
with power to act.

Widening of Main Street:
The City Engzneer. reported that the plans and.s.pecification.s
for the w- idening of Main Street are completed. The City Attorney
stated that he and the engineer expected to take the plans and
specifications to the office of the State Highway Division on
. 'Wednesday of` this week a.n.d that they hoped tp have the same
informally approved at that time.
Further timelwas ,granted in the -matter of the proposed.
license ordinance.
Councilman Jones reported 'h.avinf had repairs made to
the gasoline tank and that, a leak i -n the tank just, reported would
be taken care of promptly.
A group of Camp Fire Girls addressed the Council asking
.questions relative to unemployment relief, which, questions were
answered by Yayor IVicFadden.
