Special meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called to order
by Mayor McFadden..
ROLL CALL
`Pre"serrt: Councilmen Deiss, Gervaso,ni, Jones, McNear, Petry, Woodson,.
and Mayor McFadden.
The Clerk read the consent to the special 'meeting of the City C ouncil,
which stated that the meeting was for "the following purposes:
(1) To introduce an Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the City of
Petaluma . p for. the rental from Edward R. Bacon Company of San
Francisco, California, of a. Jager 7 - -1 Concrete Mixer for the period 'of
2 months at'a rental of $130.00 per month, with an option to purchase the
same for $130.00 at the expiration of the rental period.
(2) To introduce an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the City of
Petaluma providing; for the .improvement of Main Street by widening the same
from 'the south line of Washington. Street to points on the East and Nest
sides of Main Street near its. intersection with Third Street; approving
and adopting the plans profiles and specifications for said improvement
prepared by the City Engi authorizing the selection and appointment
of an Engineer to supervise said work; authorizing the application to the
State Emergency Relief Administration to furnish the Tabor re-qui "red for
said work; authorizing t%e employment of skilled labor and the.purchase of
necessary materials -, and directing the Clerk and, Auditor to keep records
of all expenditures for said improvement and to secure°r.embursement there-
for out of the City"s share of the SiLate - cent gasoline tax ".
The consent was signed by all of the members of the City Council.
'Ordinance No. 429 C.S. introduced. by Councilman Woodson,, seconded by
Councilman Jones, providing for the, rental from Edward R. Bacon Company
of San Francisco, California-, of a Jager 7 -H;� -1 concrete mixer for the
period of 2 _months at a rental of $13'0.•00 per month, with an option to
purchase the same 'fo.r $13,0.00 at the expiration of the rental period,
was read, a- pproved by the City Attorney, and, after being fully discussed,
.was ordered posted according.to law.
Widening.of Main St. adopting plans. and specifications:
Plans and specifications for the widening_ of Main Street were presented,
having -been filed with the City 'Clerk`, and
Ordinance No. 430 C . S,., int;roduc.ed. by .Councilman Dei s.s, seconded by
Councilman Gervasoni,. providing' for the- improvement of Man Street by-
widening the name from the south line of Washington Street to p:oin.ts on
the east and west sides of ,Main Street .near its intersection with Third
Street; approving. and adopting the plans,, profiles and specifications for
said,improvement pr- epared•by the City Engineer; .authorizing the selection
and appointment of an engineer to supervise said work; authorizing the
application to the State Emergency Relief' Adminis.tra"tion to .furnish the
