ROLL CALL: Present =: Councilmen Deiss, Gervasoni, Myers, Penry, Woodson, and Mayor McFadden. Absent: Councilman Ingerson. Acceptance of bid of P.G. & E. Co. - re electric energy, etc. The bid of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for supplying electric energy, etc. was again considered; and Resolution. #4445 C.S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Myers, accepting said bid and dire.eting that a contract covering said agreement be,prepared under the supervision of the City Attorney, and upon his approval that the Mayor execute the same, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. Acceptance of bid of Hassett McCauley re - police radio. Resolution #444.6 C.S. introduced by Councilman Myers, seconded by Councilman Gervasoni, accepting_ the bid of D. Verne Hassett and H. McCauley for the sale and installation of one complete 2 -way radio communicating system at the price of $361.00, and authorizing the City Clerk to draw a warrant in said sum and deliver the same unto said successful bidders upon the filing with her by the Chief of Police of his written statement that said 2 -way radio communicat- ing system has been furnished and installed in accordance with the specifications referred to in the Notice to Bidders calling for bids for said equipment, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. improvement of Dana & Wilson Streets: The bids for the improvement of Dana and Wilson Streets were again considered and Resolution #4447 C.S. introduced by- Councilman Deiss, seconded by Couhcilman Woodson, awarding the contract for the improvement of Dana Street from its intersection with the south line of Webster Street a distance of 540 feet Southerly, and Wilson Streef from its intersection with the West line of Washington Street approximately 950 feet Northwesterly thereon, in accordance with their bid to the Palo Alto Road Materials .Co., Ltd.. for the unit price of .018' per square foot; directing the City Attorney to prepare a contract covering said improvement work; directing the Mayor to execute said contract and directing the City Clerk to return all of the certified checks -of the bidders for said improvement work who were not awarded the contract therefor; and further directing the City Clerk to return the certified check of the successful bidder upon the completion of the contract awarded to it by this resolution, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. Acceptance of bid of Palo. Alto Road Materials Co. Ltd re - The proposal of Frederick Ray, Jr. to remove sheet metal from the city dumps was laid on the table for further investigation.
