including all paraferna-lia at a cost of $300.00. FILED.

RESOLVED THAT, The City of Petaluma will furnish sufficient oil . for
the purpose of oiling Kloantain View Avente. it being distinctly
understood that the sole cost and expense to be borne by the City
- is in supplying the oil.

IN,VRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES.
An Ordinance regulating Taxi Cabs and Auto-Drivers etc was read
for the first time, and the Clerk was directed,,after having been
aj, by the City Attorney,, to have same published according
to law.

RESOLUTION NO. 1046 C.S.
Introduced by Torr, Seconded by Young.

Resolving that the policy of the Post Office Department, regarding
the consolidation and abandonmerit of certain rural Free Delivery
Routes operating from the Petaluma post office would prove very
detrimental to the patrons effected by such proposed changes; and
calling attention of the department and explaining the detrimental
phases of the contemplated changes and urging that a suitable Agent
of the Department be directed to inspect the existing conditions vv
with the view of arranging the pro Brame of this department
satisfactorily to all concerned.

Instructing the Supt. of Streets to notify the owners of property
-upon both sides of Bremen Street between � and "Madison
S'treets, to construct cement sidewalks thereon according to
ordinance in force.

Resolving that the Irquois Tandem Boller from the Parrott Co.
having been found upon examination to be in a damaged condition,
the Clerk is hereby directed to notify said Parrott Co. that the
same is rejected.

Resolving that the City purchase from the Petaluma Rook and Ladder Co
the Hook and Ladder Truck, includin all equipment for the sum of
$300.00.

The matter of repairing the City mall steps was referred to the
Building and Grounds Committee with power to act.
Two,bills from the Clark Drug „Co. were brought up and on motion the
Council decided to pay only on the i tems for the fumigation, and the
Clerk was directed to return the bills for correction:.
The matter of the top dressing on the concrete base on Bodegs, Ave.
was discussed but no action. taken.
The matter of the 1 <:ailway culvert south of Jefferson s'treet', }cast
Petaluma, came up for discussion. Finally the whole 'ratter was
referred to the Council as a of the whole to investigate.
in the matter of the improvement of East D and Bremen streets, it
was decided to oil Bremen street from Jefferson To East D; and to
scarify and roll than portion of East D St. from Third street to
Bremen street.
On motion by °C:ouncilman.Gossage; Councilmen Allen and Young and Engr.

to inspect the second hand "Buffalo rites” roller offered by the X
