ON FINANCE: The-report o the Finance Committee was read and the same was recommended for payment: by the following resolution; R3SOL,TION N0. I059 Introduced by PiicCargar, Seconded by Young. Adopting the report of the Finance Committee and instructing the t}+ Auditor to draw warrants in payment of said claims; absent. Adopted by six affirmative votes, Councilman Allen 1' BUI LDING AND GROUNDS C'OIVI. chairman Gassage of the Building and Grounds Committee reported as having taken up the matter of repairs o;f the City Hall steps. It was decided before any action was taken, to get an estimate on the cost of new single stairs, S TREE T C ONMI T TEE' . Councilman Torr of the Street Committee reported that the culvert on Hayes Lane had been completed. PETITIONS' AND C'OMAUNICATIONS. A communication was received: from the Pacific Tel. and Tel. A communication was received from the Christmas {peek Celebration Com. asking the Council to make a donation to help defray eipenses' of the Christmas iYeek Celebration. , 2SOLUTION NO. I06I. Donating the sum of one hundred dollars to the Committee In charge of the Christmas 'Week Celebration, and requesting Auditor to draw warrant for the above amount. - Adopted by 6 affirmative votes, Cman. In order that the records of the Assessors office maybe more complete it was decice:d t,o subscribe to the Sonoma County Transcript to assist the Assessor in ascertaining the ownership of property changing; hands 12SOLUTION NO 1062. Directing the Clerk to purchase by subscription, copies of the Sonoma County Transcript, for the use of the City Assessor.. Adopted by six affirmative votes: C'man Allen ,absent. The City engineer filed maps and a description of the property deeded to John A. McNear by a former Board in I900, said land being in East Feta. and including parts of Copeland and Jefferson Stre and part of the old- river; After a lengthy discussion the same was filed for future action. A permit for sewerage privili is involved in the above transfer. The matter of the hours o:n which the East Petaluma electroliers shall be li,rhted each evening was discussed, and it was decided that all five A thirty lightu on. each electrolier shall burn each evening until seven /oclock except on special occastions, when they,will be allowed to burn later, and that the top light shall burn until daylight each morning.. The demands of .Parrott & Co. for two payments of 187.50 each,acet. of Irquois roller rent for I9 days were discussed and it was the sense of .the Council that in as far as the above Co. had not complied with the terms of their',agreement, same should not be considefred: and the matter was r:e eared to, the City - Attorney. OA V -City Attorney -n.dvised. that the ,matter of- sewerage on Douglass St. would probably be adjusted within, the next six months.. I Councilman Young brought up the matter of the line fences on Payran street, and it was decided that the property owners on this street must move their line fences back twenty one feet. Mayor and City Attorney to take - the matter up at an early date. C . ouncilman Torr advised that request had been made to move the street light from the corner of Post and Douglass streets, to the corner of Upham Douglass. Refd. to Street Com. with power to act. The Council coinsided with the Fire Commissioners regarding assistance that may given to the Fire'Dept. at Santa Rosa in case of a fire of such proportions that they needed help, the Santa Rosa Dept._ advising that same would be given this City at any time needed. taken, The matter of a Municipal slaughter house was brought up..Noact�ion/ ADJOURNIENT.
