Minutes of a regular meeting held this 20th. h. day of December 1915 Mayor Hoxwege presiding, all members poesent. :-�ZADING OF JOURNAL. The minutes of a regular meeting of December 6th. were read and approved as recorded. REPORT OF OFFICERS. The C ity Engineer presented a report together plans, and specifi ofrithe cost in reference to remodeling the City Hall steps and recommended that as the cost of same would be nearly $500.00 that the expenditure at thid time -would not be justified.— FILED. Reportsof the City Treasurer and Auditor were read: and filed. RE'PORT - OF STANDII G 06TAMITTEES. ON FINANCE. The report of Finance Committee, was read 'and same was recom- mended for payment by the following resolution; RESOLUTION NO. 1 Introduced by Young, Seconded by McCargar. Adopting the report of the Finance Committee and instruc the Auditor to draw warrants in payment of said claims. Adopted by seven affirmative votes. I STREET 001,4MITTEE. Councilman Torr reported that a new light, had been placed on the corner of Upham and Douglas Street. PETITIC,)INS AND C01bRilUNIQATIMS. A communication was read from Lieut. Coln. L,.'J. Reese relative' to selling the Citya list of automobile owners to be use-d: for asses- ment purposes; The list is valuable to the Assessor in assessing autos. The Assessor was authorized to ascertain the cost of said list. A communication was read from the W'ar Department granting the City of Pet alnnia the right to construct a bulkhead wharf along the east side of Petaluma Creek from Washington bridge south for a distance of 587.5 feet more or less. A communication from J. Bachmann asking that the license of the "Depot Saloon" in East Petaluma be transferred to Tognacca and Gilardi. 3' , 0 A . =: RESOLUTION 110. IQ64. Introduced by Young, seconded by Healey.. Transferring saloon license from J. Bachmann to Tognacca and Gilarai Depot saloon in East Petaluma. ?adopted by seven affirmative votes. FiESOZUTION NO. I06`6. Introduced by Torr, seconded by 1+:1cCargar. Directing the Auditor to draw salary warrants of the regular paid Officials for the month of December I9I5. TTtivi BUSINESS. The Clerk presented a bill from Dr. 14. B. McAuly for 453.I6 account postage and telegraphic reports on swabs during the diptheria epedemic. On motion duly mode and seconded, same was laid on the table Councilman McCargar brought up the matter of auto drivers speeding ,in the City /running with open mufflers; also regarding teams standing & bicycles on the streets automobilq�/operat ng at night without lights as required by law. The Chief of Police to be notified to enforce the law in regard to the above violations. Mayor was authorized to have the letters W. C. T. U. restored on the drinking fountain at the corner of , ilestern rive. and Main street.. The matter of the over -flow, on ?Vebster street from Hayes Ave. was refferred to the Street Committee for investigation. On by McCargar, seconded by Young; The City Engineer was authorized to make a survey to establish a line on East Washington street and Ellis street regarding the moving of property lines on - these streets. It was decided to dispense for the present with the small street wagon. The Street Committee was given power to act regarding the installation of a new culvert at the inter - section of Western Ave. 1 and,Eoward streets. AD JOUHNT,4 N T .
