ON STREET, Councilman Young reported the.retort at the Oil Plant completed. FILED. SELECT COMMITTEES'. Councilman Young reported 'that he '.had interviewed Mr. C Beck;, owner of the property where Right of W4r,;is wanted for the proposed river cut in that vicinity. As it is not known"exac.tly what portion of this land is required .C'Man`Young asked that the City Engineer be directed to make a survey and set the stakes for the proposed out. Same was granted at the rental .of fifty cents per day. Mayor Horwege reported that he attended the recent meeting of the Hail Road.Commissidn at,San Francisco regarding "Grade crossings" and that the C'O'mmi8si,on dasired to visit the different Cities in the following manner; One E,ngihe6r from the one from the City, and one from the R.R40. to inspect such crossings and decide on the best pro'ceedure' to ' 1 41iminate -- the 'dangers.. The different Cities, RR Cos. and State t-o eao stand one third of the expense of impt-ovement&.
